Good fight, they know each other so well now it was always going to be more tactical.

Goddard did a bad job with the eye poke, DC needed more time, although I’m unsure if it would have helped.

I had it 3-2 on rounds, if DC avoided the knockdown at the end of the second it would have been very close going into the 5th. The damaged eye kind of ruined the fight isn’t he even.

Though Dean did a good job with the O’Malley fight, he couldn’t go on for 2 more rounds with why looks like a badly damaged ankle.

watched the whole card and prelims, there were no bad fights

Thought Sean O’Malley looked pretty comfortable until he hurt his ankle. Finding the calf kicks with ease, taking his time waiting for Vera to try and close the distance.

Vera just did what any top level UFC fighter does, finish somebody who has one leg...

I agree. Woodley just hasn't looked the same since the Usman fight and Colby has a high pace and pressure, which is Woodley's main weakness.

Woodley will need a knockout to win IMO. Can't see him getting a decision over Colby, who is a machine at work and has a serious chin. Woodley might not even last the distance IMO. I have Colby as favourite.

My accuracy with these big fight predictions is terrible though.

That and ufc generally throws a curveball big result

I would say Woodley because it seemed he just wanted to attend to get his point about blacks lives matter across.

It probably wouldn't have worked if he had Colby on the other side just insulting him.

Maybe it was the UFCs decision. Colby is a MAGA hat wearing nincompoop. Colby used to be my guy, more than Usman(who I still don't really like) but by the time they fought I was desperate for Usman to wipe the floor with his face because of the hateful rampage Colby went on leading up to that fight. His little speech in Brazil was particuarly disgusting to me.

It seems Colby will always have this monkey on his back now, and his opponents might always have some political statement to make going forward.

Anyway, the UFC don't like to get involved in politics and would want to avoid any controversies of that nature so perhaps they pulled it themselves.

I dunno about yous but I felt like woodley really came across just a bit weird. He was given a platform to actually speak about the black lives matter cause and all he did was act like a teenager.

colbys act is what saved his UFC career, he would have been cut if he didn't do it so i see why he does, most people have nothing but good things to say about him when they meet him
