Sheriff what is this "25-30 goal a season striker" you speak off? It has been so long...
I'd definitely have Pogba at Chelsea right now. We need a goal scoring CM whose comfortable on the ball, drifting between lines to find space and in an ideal world has a killer long shot to combat when teams camp on us (which has been almost every game this season). Pogba is all of those things
The only problem is his attitude, but with players like Kovacic and, heaven for bid, Barkley in reserves would be no fuss to switch him out during his lazy games.
If he was on the market for equal or less than United paid for him I wouldn't think twice personally.

What pogba do you watch? A killer shot...
Sorry devil, but really...The guy has 52 goals in nearly 300 appearances, I doubt many of those have been long range screamers.
Much happier with our current set up.
That's a 1 in 6 ratio Nick, good stats for a CM. It's not Lampard good but he was one of a kind.
Just look up the stats. Pogba looks to pull the trigger more than most, and when we have a player like Hazard who holds back too much that's good balance, and his conversation rate of shots outside the box is very good. Not spectacular, but good enough.
how many goals outside the box has he scored? Killer shot to me means a fairly reliable source of goals.
I wouldn't take him for more than 50 mill geez
Haha. I'll confess I said killer shot because the goals he does score from outside the box look awesome, crisp, instinctive, pleasing on the eye strikes. Maybe it was a poor choice of words, allow me to rephrase saying he's got a good right foot and he isn't afraid to swing it
I'll try and find the stat for you.
I got the specific long shot conversation percent from StatmanDave but can't find it right now, but just a quick search on how many shots from outside the area he's scored - 13 for Juventus and can't find United for some reason but off the top of my head I can recall three (vs. Swansea away/1st season, vs. Fenerbahce home/1st season and vs. West Ham home/2nd season)
From what I remember the conversation percentage was between 20-25%, which is very good.
He's clearly being stifled by Mourinho. There's no coincidence that he plays so much better for France. He would add a goalscoring threat from our midfield, which we currently do not have with any of Jorginho, Kante or Kovacic (as good as they all are). I think he would blossom under a manager like Sarri.
Having said all that - I don't think we have enough money, and I doubt Man Utd would sell to us anyway (in spite of the fact that we seem fine selling our players to them annoyingly). He is much more likely to go abroad.
I'm with Nick - 50 million tops and then I feel it could blow up in our face. Basically 60 minutes of great football to his name in the last couple of years and all that when playing for France

Good looking mate, but still not a high quantity for me. Regardless you rate him higher as a player than I so is what is is. Will be interesting to see how kovacic, barkley and RLC get on in that position for us.
I do not want Paul Pogba(a diva basically) anywhere near my club Chelsea.

Also overrated performances for France. People are acting like France blew teams away. And like i've said before, he was probably their 7th or 8th best player.
He would never come regardless.
But yeah I don't know where this persistent idea from people that he is suddenly superman for France or Juve.
Juve 124 games - 28 goals
Man Utd - 63 games - 13 goals
Similar assist stats.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree his performances, like France, were overrated.
They were (r)effing lucky in semi and final
No. I wanted the player I seen at Juve, The one at Utd is too full of himself and thinks he's bigger than the club.
I would much rather sign someone like Eriksen.
No Sideshow you are wrong.Pogba was actually brilliant for Juventus before signing for Man U.Actually,Pogba was instrumental for Juventus especially in Uefa Champions League before he signed for Man U.

Yeah sort of player we need in midfield. Goals/creativity/power/height that our midfield lacks. He can compete with Kante for a position in our midfield 3.
