Morelos will start. Hopefully we're in a position to give Sadiq some game time. I've heard he played well in the reserve match the other day.

Ayr will have a bit of confidence. It's a free hit for them but I can't see them getting anything out this

Definitely Sadiq is too much of a risk, get 2 goal cushion then make the sub.

I hope we don't underestimate Ayr.

They are going very well at the moment.

Get at them from the first whistle, no complacent pash, get an early goal and all should be well.

I don't think SG will let anyone underestimate other teams. Plus a lot of players will have to really put in performances if they want to be included in bigger games.

I think we'll hump them in merry fashion.

I'd play Sadiq and give Wallace a game as well.

As much as it would be amusing to see lanky pea head galloping about tripping over the ball, i'd rather go stronger and make sure we get into the semis.

Watch this now, Sadiq will start and rip Ayr to shreds

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has confirmed that he will field a strong lineup and not make wholesale changes against Ayr United in their Betfred Cup quarter-final tonight (Wednesday).

Speaking to Rangers TV, he said: “What I will always do is I will always put strong teams out. I won’t disrespect the competition or the opposition and make wholesale changes.

“We will have a strong team out against Ayr United, and I will put a team out capable of winning the game. The players just have to go out and deliver.”

For all the praise Halliday has got, he still no very good.

Out of 8 guys that play CM at Rangers, he'd by my 8th choice every time.

1. Coulibaly
2. Rossiter (were he ever to get fully fit)
3. Dorrans
4. Jack
5. Arfield
6. McCrorie
7. Ejaria
8. Halliday

I'd rank Arfield a bit higher. His last 3 have been much much improved on his first starts. Starting to look like he'll be a goal and assist threat.

I'd say Coulibaly Jack and Arfield is the first choice.

Halliday isn't the best and I've wanted him moved on before but he has helped out this season. I'd still let him go if an offer comes in but I'm not chasing him out the door anymore

How anyone can rate Dorrans above Arfield is beyond me . He was mince before his injury and has played a total of 35 mins since !!! Halliday is no Messi but he's a solid professional who never hides (unlike Dorrans) and is a valued pool player.

He’s rated Rossiter 2nd, despite playing about as many games for rangers as I have.

Leave Leonard out if it!

Rossiter if he ever gets fit would be high up the rankings. But Daniel Prodan would have probably been preferred to Scott Wilson years ago.

posted on 26/9/18

That's wish list based on potential ...absolutely nothing to do with actual performances. Hence..facken useless!

My current rankings

Coulibaly
Arfield
Jack
Ejaria
McCrorie
Dorrans
Halliday
Rossiter

If he could get fit and stay there and get form he'd be fourth on my list and pushing jack.
