Wolves fans are in danger of crossing a dangerous bridge when they approach this game. They went to the Burnley game hoping we would win, and to Old Trafford hoping we could get something from the game. Problem is we performed so well in those games I suspect there will be quite a few going to the Southampton game 'expecting' us to win. And that's quite a different mindset that often leads to disappointment.
Not for me DJ, I expect us to win every game
Good point Spangles.
This is football, and at some point we will have a really poor performance when we least expect it. 2 wins and 3 draws from 6 is a standard, if we maintain it, for a good season.
We’re set up well and hard to break down. With the power pace and talent up top, then we’re always in with a chance of picking up points.
So yeah, I think we’ll get something out the game
Bit of a trap game as dj says plus my family are all saints so i worry
Stuart Atwell the ref for this one
Remember the name Andre Silva? Ended up joining Seville not us in the summer. Scored twice as Seville beat Real Madrid 3-0 last night and is so far the top scorer in La Liga this season with 6
Atwell
How he still gets games is beyond me.
I think this could well be a banana skin match too. You look at Southampton and they have some decent players upfront. Thankfully they also have a morose, tactically inept, uninspiring excuse for a coach so that may balance out.
By no means confident of this one but if we can get some more composure in font of goal and start converting a greater percentage of our chances we should win.
Agree with you about Mark Hughes as a manager. Don’t know why he keeps getting top flight jobs. Always seems to under achieve and hasn’t been a popular manager at any of his clubs except maybe in his early days at Blackburn
Unsurprisingly the teams in the Premier League with the biggest fan engagement around the world in recent years through social media has been Man Utd, Liverpool and Man City. Not this year though, they have been overtaken by Wolves
Shane Long looks set to miss this weekends game at Molineux with injury. He will probably be replaced by Danny Ings who missed last week’s game against Liverpool because he is on loan from the reds
How time flies. 20 years ago today Steve Bull scored his 306th and final goal for Wolves
Ings, Austin & Long are all experienced goal scorers, add in Gabbiadini and you've got some firepower there.
I know, I need to relax, stop fretting and trust in Nuno
I somehow ended up watching Southampton live three times last season, must admit each time I was fairly underwhelmed although they did play ok at Man U in a 0-0 over Christmas that I got dragged along to. Ward-Prowse impressed me most of their players to be honest.
Assuming Nuno starts with the same lineup again for the seventh time, who will he have on the bench? With Dendoncker apparently now match fit and Cavaleiro back, will he have them both as subs? and if so who will get dropped?
My guess MGW and Saiss will miss out and the bench will look like this:
Ruddy
Vinagre
Hause
Bonatini
Traoré
Dendoncker
Cavaleiro
I'm hoping the lads will convert a few more of what seems to be an endless amount of chances we get for a pretty poor return, all will be forgiven if we could net 2,3,4 or more tomorrow, but 1 will do if it secures 3 more points.

feckin fingers I was trying to say we had more shots on target at OT than Totringham who won 3-0.
Who would have thunk that. Coat now or later ?
I don't know why we are not scoring goals. It has nothing to do with prem defences because more times than not the defence has been breached and all that is required is a simple tap in or rounding the keeper in a one on one situation. We were scoring those for fun last season, Costa, Jota, Bonatini, Cavaleiro and even Doherty are all missing chances that we have seen them score with ease before. It's a mystery.
Doc said of his Burnley blooper he was celebrating before he shot.
NOTE TO DOC
Stick ball in net, then and only then, rejoice.
We had a spell last season early on when we were playing well but not scoring many. But we got over it and I think we will again.
Good chance Dendoncker and Cavaleiro will be on the bench tomorrow. But I think Hause and Saiss could miss out because Dendoncker can cover both their positions
Composure.
A little bit of mental calmness is all we need and the goals will come.
I like the look of Gem's bench, that's strong and provides cover in all areas.
