Morata, Barkley & Moses - useless.

Lack of a quality striker is clearly evident, both Giroud and Morata were non-existent in the game. Giroud tries but he's just not very good and Morata is hopeless.

We were good defensively, our full backs didn't bomb on which stopped Liverpool's front 3 from countering but Salah had many openings on Alonso's side and didn't have his shooting boots on or lacked a final pass.

Feel Courtois would have saved that Sturridge effort because of his height but Kepa didn't have much of a chance with that, made a great save from Mane.

Kante could have also done better with the goal.

If Hazard buried his chance at 1-0 it would have sealed it

Plus our subs were ineffective, we probably missed Pedro, he's got great finishing and probably would have scored that Willian chance.

I hope there's 11 changes on Thursday as the 1st team lads deserve a break

Morata looks a complete flop.

Morata will be gone in January, the only downside to that, is that he has to get games to keep his value up !

yeah missed pedro, reckon he would have capitalised on the opportunities willian had.

Hazards miss was annoying, usually he'd go past the keeper and slot it home.

Bit harsh on kepa, TC got beat by Hendersons strike which was similar.

lol what? howcome? thought he was great. Defended salah brilliantly, the only times salah got through was when kante put him in and when he drifted into the middle imo.

Think in your drinks you’ve overrated our players a little bit Nick lol. Both full backs struggled a bit, not awful but not brilliant either. As another user said Alonso had a lot of openings come down his left side, and got exposed badly by Salah for one of their best chances of the game saved by Rudi clearance. Azpi again struggled with Mane. Neither did anything going forward.

Luiz great, Rudi good. Midfield was pretty good and Hazard outshined Giroud and Willian who were average at best.

From the subs Moses ineffectual but not terrible, Barkley was. His game in possession needs to improve

Alonso got caught in behind too, Salah beat him pace and rounded the keeper but big boy Rudiger saved it off the line.

wasn't that again through the middle and alonso was the one who had to cover? on the whole I thought he was good, and him being our outlet is a huge bonus.

Just queried the 6 because everyone else gave him a 7/8

Everyone also gave Azpi 7/8 and I gave him 6

Whole back 4 gets an 8.

Hence why I queried it

Barkley attempted a dribble but forgot to take the ball with him. Moses was brought on to defend basically as Willian stopped tracking Robertson.

Their subs were far more effective as to why they got the equaliser.

If I was asked last week would I take a 2-1 win in the cup and 1-0 up at 88 mins I would have ripped ya arm off, so although dissapointed at the late goal was a good week for us. Hoping for a good result next weekend and man city play liverpool so will be interesting/

yeah agree. Sadly moses is just a poor player, even near the end he has a chance and I reckon hazard/pedro/willian would have let it run, as rudiger was right behind him and only 6 yards out from goal. Just a lack of brain cells.

Oh well pedro will be back soon and I hope CHO starts making appearances, can't be worse than moses.

Yeah happy with our performances vs Liverpool, in all honesty I was terrified of what their front 3 could have done to our defence but we handled them quite well. We're still undefeated and move on to the next one.

Hope Sarri doesn't make the same mistake he did vs PAOK, please make 11 changes and give the youngsters and fringe players a chance. Surely Morata can score vs this league 2 side on Thursday

I think Liverpool create clear cut chances vs most teams, to keep it at 1-0 for so long against them was full credit to our defence and keeper as to why I'd given them high ratings.

The chances they missed and openings they didn’t take advantage of was down to the Liverpool player’s not having the quality, irrespective of our defensive performance. We did well overall, better than I was expecting, but it’s not beyond the realms of possibility they could’ve scored 3-4 goals that match

hmm not really, bar the firmino chance they didn't have any clear opportunities. was always under pressure, and in salahs case pushed wide.
They had a couple missed opportunities with poor passes, mane when he done overhead kick should have played it through to milner, and salahs ball to fimrino was overhit.

Very content with it being 1-0 up to 88 mins.
