We're in a European semi-final, carrying a two-goal advantage into the second leg, and we're two points off of 4th place.
If we 'accepted defeat without any kind of challenge', then we'd be in a far worse position than that
I would say nice try, but it really wasn't. A bit like Liverpool winning a trophy in recent years.

Well I thought you'd pay it a bit more respect considering how many years you were in it. And that it was your only route of getting CL football when Klopp took over, following your mid table league finish.
Which manager was it that crushed your dreams in the final, again?

Keita and Elneny have had similar careers for their respective clubs
Yeah I forgot about Elneny's PL and CL medals
Ah yes, medals won in a team game directly translate to a players quality and performance.
Which is why Anderson>Gerrard.

You said they'd had similar careers for their clubs. One has a won CL and PL. The other hasn't. You didn't mention anything about them being similar abilities, in which case the example of medals won wouldn't be a factor. You didn't say that though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was just talking about their performances on the pitch - you chose to assume what you want from that.

I forgot the oxford dictionary meant ‘trophy haul’ when it came to career. Some serious whataboutery when it is very evident the discussion wouldn’t be talking about which team had more trophies, that’s something that Sandy would argue.
