Really impressed with Roberts work rate yesterday.
I think I commented a while back that actually, maybe it was blessing in disguise that Roberts and forshaw injured when they joined us as if fit we might have scraped a few results and then not changed heck fir Bielsa....
Roberts has looked really good every game I've seen him bar Millwall. He's a really special talent imo and hopefully one we develop well. Even if Roofe comes back in when fit, hopefully Tyler gets some game time off the bench.
We seem to have done what was impossible in previous seasons and balanced attack and defence. Before we have had promotion winning attack but poor defence or vice versa. Now I'm confident in both aspects of the team.
Hopefully they beat Brentford for a big confidence boost and to put some daylight between us and one of the chasing pack.
MASSIVE 3 pts last night, the squad needed it as far too many drawn games recently.
Roberts movement is pretty damn good for a 19 year old.
hes getting sharper every game
would of been a lovely assist for alioski first half
Some lovely touches and hold up play too.
Looks like another good signing that had been criticised too soon. He could go on to have a very good career at Leeds. Let's hope so.
Roberts first touch is excellent, control is excellent. He is some find. Now Bamford and Roofe will have to compete to get the spot off him.
How long since we had potentially 3 first choice quality strikers to choose from
Harrogate, some would say last season!
Roberts is unreal for 19....some of the little chests down lay offs and touches were top drawer.
We have a player on our hands

I’m not a believer in destined, but just imagine fir a moment that Roberts had been fit from word go.
He scores some goals last season. We win some more games last season. Heckingbottom isn’t sacked....
Couldn’t be happier with Bielsa. AR’s gamble is paying off and hope club are doing all they can to extend his contract.
On playing side, really happy that Philips is getting praise after so much criticism and that Saiz is putting in so much effort, his running and harrying players is really leading by example.
Also, great that Harrison getting game time now, again some fate giving him the chance, but it’s just what he needed and proving to be a better loanee than I thought he’d be.
And BPF, another clean sheet, more experience, and again helping us win points.
We needed that win after the draws and if we get 3 more points v Birmingham then I think our odds for promotion will tumble.
Who cares .........
we've got players that in relative terms are absolute bargains, ripping up the league thus far. A coach who's managed to polish the biggest set of turds based on last season.
There's a team out there every match, can't recall that in recent memory.
Roberts looked shaky early doors of the season, personally I put that down to recovery from injury and needing to gain fitness and confidence. The £2.5m could look like a bargain if he keeps going the way he is. Roofe is now proving his worth, certainly risen in monetary value i'd imagine.
Keep saying it - happy times !!! Keep smiling chaps.

I've never knocked Roberts, what I did say when we signed him was that it was money poorly spent then when we needed a flyer then who could help us then...but as the above stated, it's almost lucky he wasn't fit as if he was and had scored last season maybe we'd still have Heck!

Never said you did ....... and I rarely trawl back to find quotes anyway. Roberts to many in Jan represented a gamble, and we did appear to be spending where we didn't need to - at that time.
I don't think the club saw him in the 1st team yet, other than maybe the bench, it's "luck" that has propelled him into the team.
Bamford must be having nightmares wondering when he'll get a kick if both Roberts and Roofe carry on they way they are...... nice dilemma.
know it wasn't you vow, just other folk with the usual digs.
For me it was the large amount of money that could have gone on someone ready to make a difference there and then, but it's turned out well in the end.
I think good players have a confidence in their own ability and the competition really does improve them, I also imagine that the trust in Bielsa helps, nothing worse than starting to doubt the boss's word.
Every player signed is a gamble and we all can make statements & then turn them around at certain times to seem to justify, it is just that most don't need to
Think Roberts will revert back to playing out wide when Bamford and Roofe are both fit.
Jonts don't take it personally mate, wasn't a dig, I just found it funny..
I've not once mentioned Pullis have I ?

was thinking that Lubs but not sure he should, I prefer him up top.. thing is, we could end up with Bamford being the 3rd choice forward, 7 million pounds worth of 3rd choice.. nicer problems to have though right?
Yup, if Roberts continues to score 1 in 2 Bamford will struggle to get back in & rightly so.
