You surprised by tories $hitting all over everyone?
So you thinks that it can't get any worse ?
It was no wonder Scotland wanted to split away. From the people in the know who know what these people are like they don't want anything to do with Parliament. It seems rotten to the core and like some sort of hustle even.
"Rather than supporting the people and economy through a recovery they just taxed the crap out of us but don't even give us anything back. NHS is just dead, the roads are all soo bad rush hour lasts about 4 hours twice a day."
More money is being put into the NHS now than at any other point in history. It's not just about funding, there are other factors at play.
If you think immigration has had no impact on these things then you're blinkered or deluded. 83% of population growth since 2001 has been caused by immigration. That's a lot more people using the NHS, a lot more cars on the road, and a lot more competition for school places.
and for English pepole the tuition fees for Uni are three times what someone would pay in if they are from Scotland.

Perhaps I jumped the gun.
Sick and tired however of hearing how immigration is the root of all evil in this country. It isn't. In fact there is more money in the government coffers because of immigration as, unlike Brits, immigrants are net contributors to the national purse.
It's just one of the lazy myths peddled by the Brexit campaign to appeal to the xenophobic undercurrent in certain elements of society.
The problem isn't immigration - it's a lazy government who have failed to anticipate increased immigration and invest in infrastructure to ensure that it can be accommodated properly to the benefit, rather than detriment, of society.

I have zero confidence in either the current Conversative party or the Labour party and they are the only realistic parties that will be in power.
It's a really sorry state of affairs in Westminster, with absolutely no idea how to get through Brexit (which wasn't ever workable anyway as we are seeing now) and we've completely neglected all other areas of government.
It's embarrassing to be frank.
So true Allison,soooo true.

Good article. Vote Labour you know it makes sense.
I'll say this about the PM.......
Brexit or no, it feels like she's seriously out of her depth.
She crumbles under the slightest pressure in televised interviews or even being asked questions (when she shows up) by audience members.
Maggie Thatcher Mark 2? No chance, the only thing she has in common with Maggie is gender. Maggie would destroy her in a debate.
She'd just pull that face that she does at thatcher

Best to trust the tories, they know what they're doing
Labour all the way for the next one.

Neither party are going to help you. One will be up front and stab you in the front while staring you in the eye.
The other will smile at you, promise you the world - and then stab you in the back!
I'll leave it to you, to work out which is which King!

With open borders it is impossible to 'anticipate increased immigration. While freedom of movement exists in this country the government cannot plan how many houses to build, how many school places are needed or how many hospital beds. Net migration could be 100,000 or it could be 500,000 and the government has no control.
That is why it is crucial to control our borders. Only then can we truly blame the government for failures in public services and house building.

Some immigrants are net contributors, some are here to take advantage of the welfare state. Quite a few are working in menial jobs which means they are not net contributors although do pay some taxes.
Its important to distinguish between them and set limits in the national interest. Its impossible to do that while this country is still in the single market
