Interestingly the Etihad Stadium where City currently play isn't the original Etihad Stadium as the original one is in Melbourne where they play AFL - AFL is like football but played by thugs, so the naming of it is quite apposite.

Mohammed Nizami, at the Manchester City council when asked said the Etihad translates as Union but added it could also stand for unity or United.

So it's a fact that Manchester City's new stadium is actual The United Stadium - and it's not even the original one.
