Perhaps some news that may concern some bears on here.

Katic and Barisic both withdrawn from the U21 and national squads for Croatia respectively.

Apparently Barisic has ruptured a muscle according to the Croatian FA, if he has that's a big blow for Rangers.

Katic was on the bench yesterday and Thursday so perhaps just a small niggle, Barisic could be more serious , fortunately Flanagan has played really well in the last two games

We've plenty cover these days but thanks for caring

Barisic has done ok but Ive yet to see the player who played against us.

Flanagan is possible our best defender maybe due to playing out on the left limits his forward play though which in turn helps him defend.

And that tackle from yesterday fek me.... the kitchen sink and everything including the ball...

I don't get it ! McGregor did what McGregor does ....he made two good saves ! How that becomes " Hearts could've drawn 2-2" is beyond me ...unless we're gonna start playing without a keeper. Keepers make saves, balls hit woodwork etc etc . Rangers blew them away, their goal was consolation, no more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agreed. Add it the glaring miss by big Connor plus numerous other blown chances we could have scored 5 or 6 easy.

Hearts were decent. They were an over confident side whose over confidence exposed their weaknesses and we explored them. By pushing and pressing they left space that we exposed and absolutely tore them apart

It was a very comfortable win.

Levein was a bitter phanny in his assessment. But we can’t expect managers or give us credit when we do that or their teams. They will simply look Efor ways of deflecting to minimize the negative press for themselves

2 week break now is excellent opportunity for much of the squad to draw breath, recuperate and take a break from the fixture congestion and get on the training field to further refine the team

He’s not much more than a big fwcking haddock who has languished in the pit of the lower end of English football.

Decent defenders should be quicker than him, up in the air higher than him and seeing things before he does. If they can’t do that in our leagues then we all have major cause for concern. Otherwise his career down south would have taken him a lot further.

Just a big lump is all

Enough about French Eddy, its the Hearts lad we are talking about....

Would be amusing were it not for the fact that Edouard has never played in the English lower leagues.

That tackle was fookin immense. It was clear Hearts though they could come or Ibrox and impose a physical style of play on us. Fuxake Flanagan said “not in my backyard”. Bang !

We won the game and the physical battle. That was what was very pleasing.

Booted speccy right in the bawz. Bsck up the road with his tiny wee khawk rammed tight up his 💩-er

Barasic is very good going forward but we've looked more solid with Flanagan in the side.

More than capable replacement so we could do without Barasic if needs must for a couple weeks comfortably.

Still prefer Katic to Worrall, i think both are good but feel much calmer watching Katic.

posted on 9/10/18

Katic is head and shoulders above Worral, I just don’t het this big up he is getting, looks good, but that is twice he has sold the goal to a team

posted on 9/10/18

McCann, Worrall looks like he's got a mistake in him just round the corner too often.

A warrior but not the most composed

We already have the warrior in Goldson, we need a ball player next to him, not that Goldson can’t play a pass.

posted on 9/10/18

I think Katic is a far better all round defender than Worrall. More composed and stronger on the ball.

posted on 9/10/18

I just hope that Gerrard sees that and doesn’t be a bit nationalist about things, Katic can go all the way to the top, Worrall will be championship lower EPL class

posted on 9/10/18

Worrall's certainly a good meat'n'potatoes defender but Katic has a lot more to his game.

I can't see that he'll be dropped for Worrall permanently cos I don't think Katic has put a foot wrong, whereas Worrall has made a couple of mistakes.

Plus Katic looks to have made a more solid partnership with Goldson.

So press speculation that we could get Kent permanently for £2m.

At the rate he's progressing that looks like good value for money, but I can't see us being able to keep him. He just signed a long term contract too so the speculation is no doubt schite.

I don't think Ejaria will be looking to stay. I think he will be returning at the end of the season. He also just signed a long term contract.

I'd really love to be able to get Coulibaly. Not sure about his contract situation but he's a top prospect.

Sadiq's a f@cking big gangly fud and will be booted out as soon as an opportunity presents itself.

posted on 9/10/18

I'd take Kent and Coulibaly.

Worrall would be nice but doubt we could afford him permanently.

The other 2, I wouldn't be too upset if they left tomorrow tbh.

Not a fan of Ejaria BN?

transfermarkt.com has these values on them:

Worrall - £8m

Coulibaly - £1.25m

Ejaria - £900k

Kent - £1.5m

Sadiq - £1.8m

What a load of p!sh.

Not really. Not even sure why, he's just someone I'm not a fan of.

Barry left the Board for a short time earlier this year in order to attend to other business affairs and the Board is delighted that he is now able to offer his services again and contribute to the continued success of the Company.

Back to clean up

You have to bear in mind that Kent had a couple of mediocre loan spells before he came to us.
He also had a bit of a slow start here - but he is being developed very well under Gerrard and is proving to be an absolute handful for defenders.
If he adds goals / finishing to his game and can keep up the current form while he is here, then we won't be able to afford him.
As it stands, I think £2m is pretty fair.
He is still very raw, but Stevie G seems to know how to get the best out of him.

Just think that a few weeks back, most people were wondering why he was getting a game ahead of Middleton.
Now he is showing us why.
