Always given his best for the club???
Didnt he sulk under jose and conte and fail to perform to his full potential? Mercenary!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think Hazard himself said in the interview that he needs to be happy playing football, or something along the lines.
Call it sulking if you like, but I think that's a harsh way of looking at it. Very often the more inspirational players are also quite temperamental and their mood or state of minds shines through when they play the game. Brazilians, for example, are quite well known for it.
Hazard, I think, is one such player. It's not that he performs badly when he's off his game, it's just that he seems to have an extra bit of verve and bounce in his stride when he's enjoying his football.
One of the great things about having players like him is that they're capable of the unexpected and of rewriting the script of a game. It's disappointing when they have an off day, but the uncertainty of knowing what kind of day the player's going to have contributes to the and expectation and excitement of it all.
Call it sulking but you'd be wrong, his own dad came out and said he had a real serious injury under mourinho and he kept getting played. Nothing to do with sulking, the guy was injured.
Not sure if that comment is aimed at me or C-7, Nick.
If it was aimed at me, then I'm not sure you got the gist of my comment, which actually eulogised Hazard and players of his sort.

wasn't at you, but was an add on to your comment.
You said "call it sulking if you like", but for me there is no discussion needed having, hazard is the opposite of a sulker, despite playing with crap on and off at times he's still turned up for us. People will see the stats of his seasons but were not there in a cold february when hazard run the show, but may not necessarily got the goal or assist.
We just have to let him decide. He doesn't seem like one of those players who'll take any money/perks in any deal we'll offer him into consideration (or Real), or factor in where he feels the best chance of winning medals is, will simply be down to where he fancies playing in his 30's.
Given the position of the club right now, i.e. not a latter stages of CL staple, the way he's played the last 9 months or so he has outgrown us unfortunately. We'll be very lucky if he stays but no grudges if he goes.
Highest player in the league...Sanchez is on £505k a fackin week...apparently

They paid £80m for Bale. Hazaed is worth twice that but if we can get some good players in return I am more than happy. Asensio and Varane for swap with Hazard is better than taking money.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hazard is only worth twice that (debatable) because the market has inflated since then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are talking through your агѕе.
In the current market and with how he's playing Hazard is worth 220m+ of anyones money.
FFS, Spurs value Kane @ 200m and Hazard is by far the superior player.
Simples
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not in my opinion he isn't. Where on earth have you got that Spurs value Kane at £200m, and what's that got to do with what I said?

two seasons we won the league for starters. I believe it was the second mourinho season where after january he was oustanding, and near enough single handedly won us the league.
We are seeing more goals this year due to a more attacking side and due to giroud being a fantastic link up for him.
Before when he was picking the ball in our own half and leading our team on his own was for me, just as impressive. Nowadays he can stay further forward with the introductions of kovacic and jorgino.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No way would we have won the title that year had Hazard not dragged us over the line.
Mourinho can go on about his 3 titles but he owes that one to Eden!
I do expect Eden to leave in the summer transfer window but instead of like Courtois he'll sign a new long term contract, with the club promising him if Real Madrid offer a certain amount then he'll be free to join them.

That's a good way of looking at it tbf. He really needs to add a CL to his collection imo. A shame it wont be with us.

Why? The fact Fat Ronaldo hasn't got one alone should dispel that myth.
He did win a World Cup though.
That's true, i guess the main point im making is we can't really judge greatness on knockout football alone.
No, not if you know better.
But 20 years on, a lot of people won't know the ins and outs, so they'll basically go by hearsay and reductionist media generalisations, and presume that medals tell the full story.
You get it today about past greats, and it's inevitable you'll get it in the future about today's.

its a team game. Clubs are measured by amounts of trophies acquired. Players by their contributions to those successful competitions. For what ever reason an extraordinary top talent player might stay with an underachieving team, that does not reduce his status as a top player.
At those Ballon D'Or etc awards, the recipient nearly always credits his team.
