Haven't seen any of these newer horrors like paranormal activity, conjuring and all that. A large part of those I do like is straight up 80s nostalgic cheese.
Last night we done Jason X, although I may have had a wee nap halfway through
My big bro made me watch the first IT when I was about 5 years old, and for a good 6-7 years, I ran down the stairs instead of walked in my house through fear of Pennywise bursting out of my room and chasing me
What's the scariest film you've seen as an adult? I have an obsession with terrifying myself...

Same. The Exorcist was pretty scary back in the day. Thankfully Scary Movie 2 came along and changed that scene.

The mid/late 90s was a poor time for horrors when movies like Scream, Urban Legends and I know what you did last summer were a hit.
They had some fit birds in them though.
I don't know huh...it has to be paranormal for me to consider it a scary movie.
Anyone recall that crappy 80s horror comedy thing Troll?
Was a load of auld crap, but it always intrigued me that the dad of the family, named harry potter of all names, who was a west coast all american dad is seen to be wearing a Real Betis hat during a lot of the movie.
Somehow that hat made a journey around the world and ended up in the central costume department of the film studio. Jesus, I am boring myself even just typing this...

Love a good horror film, but I find good ones are horrifically hard to come by, these days.
Comes off sounding like those people who say there isn't good music anymore. There are plenty of great horror films it there that are more modern.

I think that was already out there. This Harry Potter had some realtionship with a witch in his apartment block who helped him navigate the magical world and enlist the help of some wizard to save his family.....
theres always going to be people moaning about no decent new horror films, most difficult genre to make films in imo, but some decent ones in the last 5years Ive seen
cabin in the woods, yes not a pure horror but a fun idea I thought

conjuring 2, though found the 3part series much better
autopsy of jane doe

This month I’ve watched
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1 & 2
The Exorcist Director Cut
Scream 1-3
Nightmare on Elm Street 1-7
Terrifier
It Follows
Eden Lake
Hell House LLC
Black Christmas
Suspiria

Last two aren’t horror but Hitchcock is the man. Psycho next on the list.

Started watching that last night. Just got about 10 or 15 minutes in before kidfrombelmonty came careering out of bed with some nightmare drama, but it looks intriguing. Foreboding.

Not sure I’ve the bleak soul crushing desire to give Eden lake a look...it’s a very dark film I’ve heard.
