Licky at left back

Where are Nacho, AMN and Kolasinac?!

posted on 22/10/18

Damn no Nacho. Provides us with a solid attacking option

Nacho and Kola precaution. Both with harmstrings.

AMN surely not ready to play.

Not happy with Micky starting, unsure why Lichsteiner is at left-back? I'm guessing Monreal, Kolasinac and Maitland-Niles are either injured or not match fit yet.

Surprised to see Auba dropped, not sure if that's the right decision. On the one hand, I don't feel he's effective on the left hand side. On the other hand, he's still been contributing goals + assists in matches even if he's been on the periphery of some games.

But surely, a better solution would be to play him and Laca together rather than either or?

I guess time will tell.

One match ban enabled

Would have preferred Auba over Mkhi or Ozil, always think we look better with pace on both wings.

This is why we needed a fecking left back in the summer. Hope Lichtsteiner does well

Leicester will probably sit back so I get why Auba isn't starting as he struggles out wide.

Curious to know how we have gone from having 3 left backs available to none

🚨 @_nachomonreal has a tight hamstring and has been withdrawn from tonight's squad as a precaution...

...@LichtsteinerSte makes his first @premierleague start in his place 💪

I’m not liking Auba’s situation and I doubt he is either

He’s our best player and should be starting up front whenever he is fit.

Arsenal not commented on him yet

Kolasinac played in the Europa didn’t he? And AMN was back in training last time I checked. Instead we have some 18 year old I’ve never heard of on the bench. A lot of defensive injuries piling up

That Medley kid on the bench is a CB that used to play for Chelsea. Supposed to be good on the ball.

If Monreal was left out as a precaution, then surely he'd be on the bench at least.

Some people are saying that Emery is being extra cautious with some players as he's got one eye on the Sporting game on Thursday.

Idk if that's true or not, but I hope it isn't. He should be prioritising the league over Europa at this point. I'd rather we win today and drop points on Thursday instead of the other way around.

Nacho is very underrated. Consistently puts in solid performances.

Then again, I suppose we hired a Europa League specialist for a reason...

Well, let's just see how the game plays out. We can moan if we lose because of our left hand side

posted on 22/10/18

This could be a very high scoring game.

Nacho is very good at making the appropriate runs when attacking. He is instrumental in a lot of our goals
