That’s jinxed that one then, RFB!
Interested to see how Hobbs is doing for Bolton since the move up. When fully fit, he was a rock of a centre half for Forest.
Karanka is quite loyal to his players and isn’t one to be swung by fans opinion. He had a few run ins at Boro so isn’t afraid to stand up for what he wants. He won’t drop Pantilimon. Just have to hope that Pantilimon manages to un-muddle his thoughts. There is a clearly a good keeper in there when concentrating fully.
Bolton have priced out a lot of fans from travelling to this one at £30 a pop for a midweek fixture. With Leeds after an eye watering £38-40 for the televised game on Saturday, I can’t blame people for staying away from these two games.
Bolton have also recently moved fans into the upper tier of the away stand, which, whilst it is a good view, isn’t conducive to a good atmosphere and leaves lots of rows of empty seats. I’m sure the Bolton fans would prefer I set up how it used to be. It was rocking for the game last May but that was due to circumstances. Can’t inagine it will be anywhere near similar tonight.

The LOVS are a bit tetchy about Forest! 😆

It looks to me Forest don’t like to loose, a little to defensive minded to get into the playoffs.
They have only won the same amount of games as Bolton but have drawn 7 games, so it looks like a draw.
There’s no point playing the game to draw rather than loose you need to win more games, if as I believe you have spent £25 mil this season you really need to get promotion. That’s £24 mil more than we have spent .
How do I know this, Parky keeps telling us he has to play against all these rich clubs, he doesn’t think it’s fair. And he’s doing a good job defensively.
Can’t disagree with that really. I have been of the opinion that this season will be a slow burner. Ues, money has been invested at Forest but that has only really helped to get the team on an even keel after five years of poor ownership. No honest Forest fan put the club up as promotion candidates realistically. The owners want that given their actions in investing but the reality is the club is probably not quite there yet in terms of preparedness.

Well, you know I was at Norwich c20 years ago, we won 1-0 through an early goal and spent the rest of the match listening to "You'll never play in Europe". Stranger things have happened. Admittedly right now the prospect of Bolton being champions of Europe sounds very strange indeed, but I'm taking the long view
PP has been getting his excuses in early. The Bolton news has his recent interview with Iles.
“It is just such a difficult league. We would like to be more progressive, we would like to create more, but you do have to be so careful not to leave yourself wide open against a team like that.
“It just shows this is the hardest division in the world. Everyone says the Premier League is tough but the lads at the bottom get nearly as much money to spend as those at the top.
“In our division there’s a big gap.”
This has 0-0 snorefest written all over it.
Especially after all the drama of the last game in May!
Prof Parky sends another out on loan Marcus Wood gone to Southport to see the sea. There'll be a few more need shipping out if PP is to avoid questions being asked.
Nearly time to settle down for a nice quiet night.
Definitely won't be a snorefest, Peter. Both teams have conceded more than a goal a game and I suspect Bolton will play the style of attacking football we have problems with. You only need to have watched a couple of our game highlights on Quest to know our Achilles heel.
Forest will have the greater share of possession and Lolley will score; maybe Murphy too. So that's a 1-2 scoreline already without too many mistakes from either side or a few dodgy refereeing decisions.
The LOVS do exaggerate a bit but to a club that cannot even claim to have been 'best in the county' for many years, and a history that consists of Nat Lofthouse; being the other team in the Matthews final; and Big Sam; a little bit of sour grapes is understandable.
Anyway, enjoy the match everybody, may the best team win (i.e. the one with two stars on their crest)

And the small matter of being the first Wembley FA Cup winners, twice more that decade, and a world record transfer fee for David Jack. SWIE was a season ticket holder at the time, he'll be able to fill you in

I know, I know!! Just one more thing though: when we have from time to time been best in county, at least it has been a meaningful achievement! Can it really be that satisfying bossing it over County and Mansfield?
OK, I'll leave it now. 1-1 tonight for my money
Yes of course it can, not as satisfying as lording it over the rest of Europe I'll grant you. But still good for a bit of sport.
I think AK should be playing our Portugese contingent more sparingly otherwise they will be burnt out by Christmas the way McKay and Dowell were last season.
Start them in games where they might have a bit more space and time than they will in games like tonight and most home games probably. Or just bring them on for the last 20 minutes when appropriate
