Well we expected Forest to come and play football, leaving space for us to capitalise on. However they just came to defend like every other team and once they got their goal it was obvious their packed defence would be hard to break down.
We have to increase our shots on target. 1 in 6 (3 in 18 on the day) isn’t good enough. However a few of those were long range and a few were not too far off the mark.
Disappointed with Forest. I expected them to have more than 29% possession. Maybe it just shows how good we are at keeping the ball and winning it back.
According to stats they won’t win their next game after playing us
Not sure where the 18 shots came from?
Pants had one deflected shot to save all game.
All huff and puff. Pace required in January
There were also some nice balls flashed across the box later on. We did the same against Blackburn. Actually start creating and getting the ball in the box late on.
Need to play like we did for the last 20 yesterday from the start.
While I think roofe has been fantastic this season I can’t help but wonder what this team would be like with a pact winger and Wood in it
You really can't think like that. What if Cantona stayed at Leeds?

Don’t know about huff and puff, we played some nice football in patches ... just a lack of end product.
Credit to them, a well organised Karanka side, but even allowing for the fact that they were holding on to what they had, they couldn’t get out of their half. I’d rather have our problems than theirs.
It was sad to hear, but it was like a knock on affect with people telling others to shut up.
But let’s be positive
The second half the fans were magnificent
We're having around 18 shots a game yet only about 3 or 4 of those are on target. Despite dominating, the opposition goalkeepers barely have to tough the ball. Randolph at Boro, The Brentford keeper and Pantillimon had very little to do. We need to improve the final third in January, we get that right and we're going up. We're having stupid amounts of possession, even against good sides, Bielsa has done wonders.
A typical Karanka team, boring, not what I want to see
Having spent so much should deliver so much more
As for us it’s worrying conceding a set piece again, always tough when conceding first.
Teams who do well usually have a 20+ goals a season striker (a la Wood). We just do not have that reliable striker. Roofe does his best but the cross by Clarke inside the six yard box late on needed a natural striker gambling on getting there.

Think Boro got promoted a few years ago when their top scorer hit 11. Not sure on that but seem to remember.
We have scored some beautiful goals this season, I am particularly thinking of some of Klich's. We are just not getting the scrappy 3 yard toe poke goals which we sometimes need (excepting Roofe's goal line effort yesterday!) A pacy fox in the box type needed I feel
It's not the striker that's the problem. It's the decision making in the final third. Pablo is the only one who consistently creates chances (he was poor last night though). We get the ball in great areas but the cross or pass is poor, Dallas was most guilty yesterday. Got into great areas time and time again, but his cross was blocked or over hit. Got it right for the goal but had 5 or 6 opportunities before to create and didn't produce.
We are not running at defenders or running into space like we did early on. We get into the final third and the players look afraid to shoot. Our passing is laboured. We hold onto the ball but don't do anything with it. Alioski, Samu and Klich all scuff shots or slip at the vital moment. Our conversion rate must be the lowest in the league. Injuries are a part of the problem. Players are changing positions and formation, so they are losing their intuitive understandings of each other. Confidence is affected. I can't see an easy fix for this one.

Bang on.
We have lost something (again) since the 1st 8 games.
Dallas (sorry fella) for me needs to be on the bench, rate him but not as a starter.
Dallas should be a sub not a starter, but right now he’s doing a job for the side due to injuries.
think I agree with most comments on this thread, I really do like Dallas, sort of a championships James Millner but defo not a starter to me
