Best of luck.

You really, really, don't want to know about the side-effects…

=============
Could be the sort of information that makes some check themselves. Think it may be worth sharing some of the side affects.

Oh, and hope you have a quick recovery.

Wishing you all the best and great advice

What age should you start getting regular checks at?

Symptoms to look out for?

And all the best in your recovery 🙏

All the very best dude.

My mum went through radiotherapy for breast cancer, and I saw very close up how that affected her (although the side effects will be different for you, of course).

It was thoroughly unpleasant, but they do it for good reason. She nailed the cancer and made a full recovery. I’m sure you’ll do the same

That's true. But it's all a tad, um, graphic, DJ.

CancerUK has a whole section on the side-effects of radiotherapy for anyone who wants to shock themselves into getting checked out.

But just do it. It'll take 5 minutes of your life - and might well save it.

I recently had mine tested, wasn’t painful nor embarrassing, was in and out ( no pun intended) in 15 mins.
Wishing you all the best with your recovery.

Good luck, Beeb, hope they nab the bast*rd fullly this time.

Just turned 50 this summer. I think I'll be taking your advice. It's about time I got checked by someone other than my cardiologist.

Hope you beat it permanently this time

At what age should we be getting this checked?

40 if you're high risk
45 if you are medium risk
And at 50 for everyone

Is what they say

Thanks.

40 next year but I wouldn’t class myself high risk. Like many Asians heart issues is probably more high risk.

Best of luck Beeb, hope they get it for good this time around

My old man was given the all clear last year and is looking like his old self now finally, after seeing the effects of both chemo & radio up close I'd echo every bit of advice you've given

All you old folk on here (), book yourselves in for a fingering.
