Anyone who dips their short bread in tea needs to be castrated, imo.

Anyone who does that has probably already been visited by a sharp knife!

I cannot believe I have had to painstakingly read through 4 pages of comments without anyone mentioning the almighty custard cream.

You lot should be ashamed.

EPIC.

A subject very close to my heart.

I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to this subject and each beverage has a biscuit that compliments it best.

Now, depending on the beverage, if you have tea, and you are dunking biscuits, it is very important not to have too much sugar in your tea, and the best biscuit for tea, in my opinion, is half coated digestives, but any half coated biscuits will fit the bill, and I am very fond of the digestive and the hob knab varieties. Both have their pro's and cons.

But be aware, they will catch you out, and if you indulge in one dunk too many, it's good night Irene and your beverage is for the tea strainer.

Now, this is where it becomes interesting, because coffee sis a different animal all together....

Coffee, whilst it's the original energy drink, and it gets the nation motoring every morning, should not be dunked without milk, no way. Now, whilst the half coated variety of biscuits are not to be ignored with coffee, as they will do a darn good job, they are not the best.

The best biscuits you can dunk into coffee, are either Foxes Triples or Foxes Classics, both very complimenting to a nice cup of Douwe Egberts, yes the coffee brand does need to be half decent, and those of a good nose and bouquet will know good old Douwe is a good coffee to get you up in the morning.

Anyone who disagrees with this is wrong, plain and simple.

Can imagine it being too sweet with sugar in the tea, without sugar it's perfect.

most sickly custard creams when dunked. i usually have an assortment when im having tea and biscuits which i only do once a year if that, usually after christmas as we have those big boxes left over.

the harder biscuit like ginger nuts dont really work for me they still remain hard no matter how long you dunk the fackers? that said i cant name a biscuit i dont like, dry or dunked so. Hobnob got my vote.

You see i like the contrast you find in a ginger nut. Dunk it long enough and the outside gets a little soggy but the inside retains a crunch

The one biscuit that usurps all biscuits mentioned on here hands down is the half coated malted milk, or as they are most commonly known chocolate moo cow biscuits.
