If we were to win 1-0 we would all be delighted and as Villa are not in the best of form we can hope. We did that against Hull but to no avail so I just hope that we can turn the corner and score one or more goals and win the game.

This losing business is stretching all our nerves to breaking point.

Looking forwards to this. We (Villa) have just lost two, after Dean Smith's win in his initial match. We actually played better in those two losses, but in Norwich and QPR we hit two form teams who undid us on the counter. 3 matches in 6 days for Smith in his opening games was a bit much.

He's now had a clear week with the lads. We're already improving after Bruce's dire spell, so I'm reasonably confident of a win. But if you can stop us scoring and manage the odd go at our defence we might be undone.

As you say another week of training should be positive.
