Interesting, despite Pablo's goal and him being obviously the most able guy on the pitch, Sky pundits awarded Kalvin MOTM yesterday.
There are people on here that have stated in the past that they don't rate Phillips.
Most improved player definitely. Absolutely crucial to us this year.
his intereceptions and passing is class right now
Have to pinch myself sometimes because I still can’t quite believe we have Bielsa as our manager or Hernandez in our team. They are so good.
Nice to be a Leeds fan right now, but it’s a long season. Still would like us to be more clinical up front... 2-1 despite 70% of possession and many many chances. Need to start putting those kinda dominating games to bed early on
Can’t have been easy for Philips with a succession of head coaches, merry go round of players, comehrad chairman.
Shows what a bit of stability can do perhaps.
Was a big test yesterday and we passed with flying colours.
Douglas just makes us a miles better side. klich superb as usual.
Bigger test on Sat against West Brom, which will suit us IMO.
Harrogate snd this was why I thought this match along with West Brom match could degjbevour season.
Are we a team that can rise when needed and put to bed a mid table team that can be hard to beat or are we going to get another draw.
Was great to see us passing as well as ever having trust in the system and getting the win.
The whole team played well yesterday, but Roofe and Forshaw looked knackered in the second half.
Douglas and Phillips were immense and Pablo is hands down the best player we've had since the Premier League days.
One downside for me is, although his distribution is excellent, I'm not sold on BPF at all and I think we need a better keeper. He just seems so slow at getting down to shots/headers etc....its been apparent for a while
Forshaw and Roofe still aren't fully match fit, I thought Roofe apart from the goal, wasn't his usual self.
I though Bielsa maybe wanted to give them plenty of game time to get sharpness up.
No Saiz on as a sub I thought was a surprise, looked as if Shackleton went into CM. Should have scored too.
Geldard, I hate to admit it but I've been silently thinking the same about BPF... I really do hope I'm wrong but I'm not sure he's good enough ya know.
douglas just pings passes in field with such ease.
could see he was slightly rusty as dordled on ball a couple of times.
but the ball into klichs run for first goal is exactly what you need.
intelligent football, took his time and waited for the run as he knows its coming.
bielsa just found phillips niche. instead of him being asked by countless managers to get forwards, get backwards, break play, score goals etc his position is just well defined and simple to understand.
Intercept , protect and be the spare man whos always available to pass us out of defence.
the pass he plays for roofes goal yesterday switched the play so accuratley and quickly.
when was the last goal we conceded from open play?
Some rubbish on here, we are top of the league & YET SOME STILL MOAN.
In previous seasons we would have lost away at Wigan - it literally is a complete New ball game this season

Douglas is a quality footballer and perfect for our style of play. We just look a more composed, better balanced side when he plays.
really is milky
not seen best of him yet either
Wonder why Espírito Santo let him go?
jonny otto is better
and it would of been harsh making him sit on a bench all season
The team looks very poised these days. Great football.
