Was perfect subs for me, won us the game. Jorgino was great at the weekend when barkley was poor. Willian had faded also and pedro scored so pretty much perfect subs.

I agree Jorginho should have been substituted for Ruben Cheek, and Willian substituted for Fabregas, and then Fabregas replaced with Jorginho.

The fact you think he should have kept Barkley on invalidates anything else you had to say. Boy had a shocker and was lucky to start the 2h imo. Think he had given the ball away 4 or 5 times in just the first 5 minutes!

In hindsight the only thing he got wrong was starting Barkley - but who could have predicted that performance?

You are joking, Hazard and Kovacic coming on upped the tempo a notch and made the win next to certain, just like they did against Arsenal.

On Sunday,Sarri made one mistake in my view.He should have brought Ruben Loftus Cheeks to replace Willian and kept Barkley on the field.He should have replaced Willian with Jorginho.That's all folks.Does anyone here agree with me?Views?Fellow Chelsea fans!

difficult to say, they are similar...but you may be right, I meant as a 20/30 min cameo as opposed to starting them

but currently we have jorg & Kante (& even Kovecic to a degree) doing a similar job, albeit a good job

If i'm honest i would be at unease even with doing that at a comfortable lead, especially given Jorginho or Cesc would almost certainly be the other midfielder.

We would be pulled apart at the seems without the ball.

Although the original article was worded poorly (I don’t think anyone actually understood what you were trying to say Zahr), I did wonder at the time of the 3rd substitution whether Jorginho was injured. I couldn’t see much point in taking him off unless he was injured or just needed a rest. But at 3-1 I couldn’t believe we were in a position to rest anyone. What was Sarri’s thinking in bringing on Fàbregas? To shore up the defence? I don’t think so.
Bringing on Hazard and Kovacic was definitely the right decision - and apart from scoring we immediately looked more balanced and re-took the initiative in the match. But I’m not sure what that 3rd sub did. I suppose he could have brought on RLC for Pedro, but it’s not like that would have helped the team too much - Pedro was playing well.
