Great to see that the discerning DET readers have voted OVERWHELMINGLY for a Davies/Tomori centrehalf partnership as their preference.

It's simple, Davies is well of the pace and they have it.

A dear uncle of mine died today. When I first watched Derby Ii used to go with him, my Dad and my two cousins to stand on The Paddock at the start of the glory days. He famously punched a police horse in the face when my cousins and I were in danger of being trampled outside the City Ground one Boxing Day in the early 70s. He was born on the Clyde, a Queen’s Park fan by birth. He told tales of standing at Hampden in his youth, thousands packed on the terraces and urine cascading down to the bottom because nobody could shift to get to the toilets. He wasn’t what you would call a diehard Derby fan, just went with his lads with us as a family sort of thing, but he always maintained an interest in The Rams. I saw him last Saturday before the match, very poorly. I recalled the police horse incident to him and told him I was about to go and watch us stuff Birmingham. He opened his eyes and tried to respond. I think he took it in. Now he’s at rest.

Sorry to hear that, Vidals, but it comes to us all and it sounds very much like he’s enjoyed a good and worthwhile innings if your memories are any measure.
666s use of “overwhelming” is interesting, considering that in actual fact less than half voted for the Davies/Tomori pairing. And if memory serves he trumpets the wisdom of the Derby cognoscenti a little less loudly when they vote Keogh as their player of the season, as regularly occurs.
Sorry for your loss Vidal.
Of the 3, Tomori features in 80ish % of the preferred options, Davies 70ish, and MistaKeogh less than half.

Good result that!
And by the way can anyone explain the hidden subtlety in this sentence taken from Viewfrom's introduction to this post?
"After last weeks fiasco where we were 1-0 down at half time, Derby are once again at the Baseball Ground for the visit of the European champions Aston Villa"
Am I aiming for the wrong ground tomorrow?

So Vidal, can we assume that you have Scottish blood, or was your late uncle on t'other half of the family?
RIP Vidal's uncle.

Have a look at the poll rather than the text.
Keogh & Davies 9%, Keogh & Tomori 31%, Keogh & Davies & Tomori 9% = 49% of respondents include Keogh
Davies & Keogh 9%, Davies and Tomori 50%, Davies & Keogh & Tomori 9% = 68%
Tomori’s should now be easy enough for even you to work out, Mr Doctor Man.

Keogh and Tomori 35% is what they say. Are they lying about their own poll? Is the poll “live” and altering each minute as you furiously vote for any combination not including Keogh? What are the mysterious “others”? They might be Keogh on his own. Have you considered THAT in your calculations?

You are all such wonderful people. Even 666.
Well I'm still in Sicily, (I should have been home at lunchtime today), but I'm actually beginning to like the place. The people here are really nice, (completely disorganised, but very friendly).
From the architecture, I guess there must have been some coin here at one time?
