I used to love Joe Cole when he was at Chelsea. Such a shame he got such a bad injury, he was a really good player before that.
Thought he'd already retired to be honest. Good little player in his day.
Yeah, one of the only things mourinho done wrong in his first spell with us imo. Was a world class player who never reached those heights consistently, but what a joy to watch. Scored some vital goals for us.
No wonder the happy hammers hate us lol
One of our worst signings even in a free transfer.
Good luck to him. Really liked Joe Cole, one of the few English players, of that generation in particular, who didn't have his head up his backside.
I recently watched the 3-0 against United that won us Jose's second title and I still don't know how Joe scored that goal. Just moved his body around a few paces and suddenly beat three defenders? Was a magic trick
Heard he got on the Niki Lauda with Andy C at Liverpool and lost interest

The most surreal moment of that game was 10 or so minutes later when Carvalho went walkabouts to the other end and finished the move he started.
We were borderline taking the pi ss out of them by doing that
Truly brilliant player with great technical ability.Having Joe Cole,Damien Duff and Arjen Robben running rings around the clubs in Premier League and Champions League was a sight to behold and cherish.
