I know - and seriously I was shocked by the difference in quality. Anyone watching England now knows how we felt last seasons, as this team looked exactly like Chelsea at the end of last season; slow, laborious, and with a striker who looks like they cant be bothered and offered very little to to the team. Having been blessed with Sarri ball and Hazard it goes to show that international teams are closer to our second tier teams and is why people I think in general prefer Champions League to the world cup.
Dont get me wrong I did get a little excited and whooped when Kane scored the winner, but I was also laughing with how poor the quality was overall. Their goal and Kane luckily controlling the ball with his nose
Cool story mate, I never get this faux braggadocio style of almost boasting every international break that you find it boring and don’t care about England.
It was a pretty awful watch yesterday and both our goals were set pieces.
Just find international football pretty boring to watch and the quality is average. I have my fingers crossed hoping none of our guys get injured whilst on duty as this is my biggest fear

Because one day someone important will hear my annoying voice and agree and it will be banned and we'll only have the option of watching crappy international games in the month of June/July when everyone is watching an actual tournament.
It wont be down to qualifying, it'll be on a vote system where people vote for the teams they want to see and the last 32 or however many there are in each of the different tournaments will be picked out of the top 32.
So England will probably not get in because everyone would rather watch the Brazillians smash San Marino etc.

Curious if anyone's cared about International Football enough to come to grips with the Nations League? Cos from a disinterested viewpoint (i.e. me) it looks like the most convoluted mess of a tournament I've ever seen
Won't lie though, didn't mind seeing Belgium royally bottle it and Courtois' steaming face as no.5 flew past him. His glorious post-Chelsea career continues
I might not be a patriot, but I am a nationalist, so I love international football.
Gives the three lions a chance to shout, shout let it all out "Come on England!"
Judging by the England support during the match, and Southgate's comments re the importance of the England fans to the team thanking those in the stadium, after, I have to conclude that you belong tin the minority view.
That and no one is forcing you to watch in order to article banal comments. For sure Club football offers greater emotions, but for me the great pleasure was sinking Spain to mid table oblivion. I do like this new format, not as much as club football, but its still decent entertainment.
OP, who are the potatoes?
The most disappointing aspect of yesterday was the inability of professional footballers to kick a dead ball past the first defender on free kicks and corners...fackin scandalous

i think he means that group of bottling topteam wannabees from north London, who are not named Arsenal
I am not surprised a bunch of Chelsea fans find it difficult to support the national side.
It is boring watching your own player. It was a shrewd move to sub him with Delli. Things got better after that

Did we though? As I understand it, from my very loose understanding of the rules, we kept Spain at status quo and relegated Croatia? But relegated to what? For how long? And if there's relegations there's promotions, whose promoted?
Seriously how does that tournament work? It's probably a stupid question but I have no clue
I agree with the title. I have not read a single word after.
