I think they want the current crop of just or semi retired players, Thorne wasn't one anymore, Dennis Taylor still clinging on, but I think Virgo will be back in the New year

I've always felt BBC have had the best commentators, ITV 4 also not been too bad, Eurosports commentators are hit and miss. Joe Johnson is the worst as he always makes mistakes!

Yes, Johnson is terrible, Philip Studd is excellent on Eurosport, Neal Foulds is very good too, but I also like the beeb, they are like a pair of favourite old slippers, 😂

I agree Phillip Studd is good, Dave Hendon is also okay, Mike Hallet sounds a bit like John Parrot sometimes lol. For me John Virgo is the best commentator ever, he's just got that voice!

He gets a bit excitable, but he's always commentated since I started watching snooker 30+ years ago, like Clive Everton now on ITV 4.

Yes, I agree, he is in his 80's now, Jill Douglas is a good presenter for ITV4, as is Hazel and Jason for the beeb, I can't stand Colin Murray on Eurosport...

Bad day today. Both Judd and Ding out. Ronnie could have played Ding in quarter finals then winner could have played Ding in semis. Now Ronnie will have an easier run to the final may as well put his name on the trophy now.

The final yes, but Wilson should have beaten Ronnie at the Champion of champions, but this is a triple crown event, and Ronnie will be bang up for it

Only Mark Selby and Judd Trump are strong against Ronnie, John Higgins on his day too but he's been poor this season. Kyren Wilson should have beaten him at Champions of Champions, I was there live and literally wanted to cry that day, end of the day though you have to have the bottle and mental strength to get over the winning line!

You do, and there is no one better than Ronnie at that, he should make the final, but the other half is tough, I'd go for either Wilson or Allen.
