With a change of manager and system it was naive not to expect a few results like this.
But why did it have to be against $purs!
Am sorry Biggish
I get "he's a character" "big personality" "one of few leaders".
That's fine if we can carry him.
But for me I'd start looking to replace Luiz. The old problem I had with him is back with a vengeance.
I'm not scapegoating him for this defeat. I just think he still lacks concentration.
If he plays 3 good games in 10 and they're the last 3 of those 10 then somehow the other 7 get forgotten by most.

I thought it was going to happen against Liverpool.
Think you just need to adapt your midfield to kante in the deeper role and play Barkley instead of Jorginho in them kind of games. Bt pundits making a good point.

Not sure why are you surprised about losing to us?
Spurs are one of the best sides in this league three years running a top three side too?
Just because we started poorly due to player over commitment elsewhere it doesn't give Chelsea the right to think they can beat us when they want?
Good lesson from Spurs. Learn it well, don't waste it

I personally think Barkley flatters to decieve and much prefer Loftus Cheek if I'm honest
I do prefer Kante doing what he does best to be honest!

He’s not necessarily surprised. He’d just rather it wasn’t against us
Great result for us. Didn’t see it coming when I saw Sissoko and Dier against Kante and Georginho (sp)
That was so lacklustre but it was coming.
How Morata started over Giroud is beyond me. How many times has this guy been offside this year. He is without doubt the worst striker we have had in years, not physical enough , poor finisher and always offside. I hope we get rid of him in January , Kante shouldve been in beside Jorginho today , he needed protection as did David Luiz and Rudi.
Hats off to Spurs, they were dangerous and clinical and looked far more hunger for the win.
Think you just need to adapt your midfield to kante in the deeper role and play Barkley instead of Jorginho in them kind of games. Bt pundits making a good point.

Not in the manager's makeup, he'd see it as conceding control of the game before it started. Wise in certain games perhaps but never gunna happen with Sarri.
Also don't understand this impression Kante's a holding player? Holding players don't move, Kante covers the entire pitch, he's not a Makelele or Casmeiro type player at all.
The correct suggestion is the overall framework of the tactics are more defensive with Kante fulfilling a more defensive role, not necessarily a deeper one.

They really weren’t clinical. If they were they would have ended the game in double figures.

To be fair they have let us off the hook. To play that badly and get away with 3-1 is a touch.
We need a striker and a playmaker in the main
