Has there ever been a world championships with as many upsets as this one? Joyce and Aspinall will be in the final.

The other thing to consider is the Premier League. There are some new candidates throwing their hat into the ring.

I think it's best to judge Cross this time next year to see if he's just a one hit wonder. Purely because he has had so much media commitments and interviews and exhibitions etc it's basically been a money spinning fame year so he wouldn't of practiced anywhere near as much. Can imagine he can just get back to basics and practice now

Alongside the obvious rewards of a semi final place, there are other rewards on offer tonight:

Gary Anderson will get back into the top 4 with a win, and a guaranteed PL place (not that it is in doubt)

Michael Smith will be 7th with a win.

Brendan Dolan would be the biggest winner, moving into to the top 32 with a win today.

Nathan Aspinall, Ryan Joyce and Luke Humphries would be just outside the top 32 with a win today, but have top 16 ambitions if they can get to the final.
