Know what I don’t get about professional fitbaw players and gambling .

They don’t need the money. Likes of lafferty and Griffiths are millionaires. Never need to worry about money again if they are sensible.

So what do they gamble for? I gamble to try get a nice easy wad of cash. Maybe go a holiday with it or whatever.

Never understood it over the years when the many gambling cases in fitbaw have came to light. Must just be for the buzz I’m guessing but it’s not a buzz if your losing

Both me and Lauders received txts that he tried to kill himself.

And he has been checked into rehab for gambling addiction.

in the whole i think he has behaved pretty well, nothing over the top.

constantly interacts with fans, sends boots, tops, does tributes.

i didnt want him signed, was pretty disgusted when we did but i think he has done alright.

He's privileged in his life and his employer hope he uses that to beat this, not everyone has the luxury of rehab as an option.

It's not really about the money, its a compunction a mental illness, your personal wealth is not the issue.

You make a very fair point. Pity I had to see it.

I guess the buzz of it and the feeling of awk it doesn't matter if i lose a grand here or there is why they do it.

Eventually the stakes get higher and the losses mount up though.
