MOL Vidi 17:55 Chelsea

----------------------------------------------------------------------
A trophy we have a chance of winning tbf. If spurs get knocked out next round would you not be a bit dissapointed in that you could have had a chance at winning the Europa league.

Spurs would have been amongst the favourites
------------------------------------------------------------------

Rather a crack at the CL mate. Enjoy tonight though
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If u think you have a “crack” then fair enough. We’ve won both, I know what is most likely.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is it though, the mentality, they'd rather have a "crack" at winning something they will never win than be realistic and say well we can win the Europa league.

Example, Chelsea have as much chance of winning the champions league as spurs do

And we're not in that cup competition
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why not? I know it's unlikely but it was unlikely that Leicester would win the EPL. They didn't just give because they thought 'oh hang on we've not won this before we've got no chance, let's just stick to top 6 shall we'.

Alright mate, Poch should of told the players not to bother with the CL and drop into the EL as we have more chance. Nice one

More impressive performance was Tottenham beating Inter with Gareth Bale in the 2010-2011 season.

I thought Liverpool’s win was the better performance/result of the night, despite their fans giving a relatively muted celebration to going through in comparison.

Interesting seeing the difference in expectations from the two sets of fans despite their arguments about who’s better.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah....Barca away. Only a small club with a small club mentality would celebrate getting a result there to qualify for the knockouts

Now, havent you got some Thursday night team news to be catching up on, the build up to the big game vs Mulled Wine. You must be beside yourself with expectation. Then the big draw next week

Don wrote and article titled “Heroes”.

Credit to Spurs for coming back in their group and qualifying. But the reaction to drawing that game has been pretty embarrassing.

More historic than the win yesterday v Barcelona was Spurs signing quality players like Jurgen Klinsmann and Rafael Van der Vaart.

He's an Espanyol fan, and hence a massive Pochettino fan - he was the solitary voice of balance in the English media when he got the Southampton job booting Atkins out the way to get it. I wouldn't read too much into any praise he gives Spurs while Poch is there for that reason alone, there's a bias he can't help having.

They were lucky to get through. Even discounting the obvious fact that Inter bottled it, going through with 8 points is smash and grab, but saying that we're hardly in a position to condemn another teams luck in the CL, the 2012 win was built on it

Qualifying’s worth celebrating definitely. If that game is one which you look back to and remember as historic, then you still have a long way to go as a club if you consider yourself a top team.

The games from now on are likely to be a lot tougher than what you just faced. Something to look forward to
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey, we played Dortmund, Juve and eventual winners Real Madrid in the UCL last season.

When know the score. It gets harder. Like most cup comps. Its not a difficult concept to grasp, but thanks anyway.

What stands out from qualification is that we had 1 point after three games and on the brink of elimination with every game. Late equaliser then winner vs PSV, late winner vs Inter. Late dramatic draw at Barca. Put together, when it was billed as mission impossible, it was a thrilling qualification which culminated in a very exciting game at Barca when, for so long, it looked like we'd just drop short in true Spursy fashion. SO yes, it will live in the memory but thats not to say its one of our greatest moments. May be for this group of players/manager it is so far.

Remember Stevie G getting that late goal vs Olympiakos to secure qualification....not a massive team, a home draw but still memorable for the thrill and nervy tingling excitement of it all.

Struggling to remember better performances at the Nou Camp. I'm no "Spanish football expert" and even I can remember Bayern mauling them at the Camp Nou. 3-0. In a semi-final CL match that ACTUALLY mattered for Barca. And the 3-0 scoreline flattered Barca.

Making such a comment in a meaningless match for Barca where they started a second-string side and never quite seemed sure how much to commit to the game is a tad silly. Just a few weeks ago, Real Betis turned them over at the Camp Nou with a better performance in a match Barca actually wanted to win.

Chelsea had 3 youngsters playing for its team and it was a great learning curve for them.CHO was brilliant today and on account of this performance good enough to even be a successor to Willian and Pedro and has got potential to be like Hazard in the future if he keeps working hard.I really liked his performance.

Was a great performance for me. But not a great result, they had to rely on inter. Should have really been 4/5-2 to spurs though imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

True. and in fairness to Balague, he was commenting on the quality of the performance...

"This is without any doubt one of the best performances of a foreign team in the camp nou for many years. Struggling to remember a team that was so good in so many ways here"
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That is fair enough, but I think most of the big six would fancy their chances against such a weak Barca line up.

Their weakest ever against an English side in Europe without a doubt
