1. Do we play a high defensive line?
2. Do we lack pace in central midfield?
3. Do we have pace in wide areas?
4. Is our striker isolated up front?
5. In our last game, did we create more chances with some support for Van Persie?
If you have a brain, your answers should be...
1) Yes.
2) Yes.
3) Yes.
4) Yes.
5) Yes.
Relating to a high defensive line, Mertersacker is atop defender but used to playing in deep lying back 4's. Playing a high line with him is dangerous.
Lack of pace in CM? Arteta and Ramsey are slow. Song is no Usian bolt, but I suggest playing Song with Arteta. It's all we've got.
Pace in wide areas? Theo and Gervinho are quick and direct and can grab a goal for us.
RVP isolated? When he gets support he looks better and we create more chances.
So, we are NOT numpties.
