I'd be worried if we still has Conte but if Sarri has identified him as suitable for his style i'd be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

If Sarri wants him and he thinks he'll suit our style then I'm happy. Jason Cundy certainly will be if we sign him.

Nothing wrong with signing Wilson in January, you won't find too many good options in the upcoming window and he fits the bill atm.

If we can get him for £30 mil, reckon it's a good deal. He's currently in good form, pretty decent in all areas and much better than Giroud and Morata.

Will suit the Sarri style as he's quick and mobile. If we can get him in January and hopefully Icardi in the summer, that would be great.

Get rid off Morata and Giroud in the summer too.

Looking at the table they would have to have a Derby 07/08 run till the end to go down. They are 11 points clear and a lot of teams between them.

That plus i want to combine our game there next season with a weekend away in Bournemouth so they better survive

Meh. A player who no one would have considered before the last 6 months. Let’s at least see if it’s not just a run of form in which a whole load of Bournemouth players have benefited from/looked good in.

It is also slightly airing into the type of signing we could fill out with a youth player. A Zappacosta, Drinkwater signing. Abraham could quite easily reach Wilson’s level - why not focus on a striker who is genuine quality as first choice?

Difficult to sign top class players in January. Not many other options to consider, I understand Abraham is doing well but it is the championship and there's no point us recalling him now as he'll just end up in our reserves after a few bad games.

Wilson is proving it in the premier league so far, if we can get him for a reasonable price that'd be great.

Not a good signing.I would rather have Batshuayi than Wilson.

Yes,Sheriff!I said that just because I am sceptical of Wilson.It would be like Benteke at Liverpool.I liked Bats but only as a supersub as he was a good goal poacher but I think he won't be doing that given his recent form.

He doesn't seem to be receiving a lot of love from posters on this board, but Wilson is actually a very good player. Just because he plays for Bournmouth people are sceptical of him. He's quick and strong, good technically, has a good footballing brain, and knows where the goal is. Plus he's proved himself in the premier league - and he's english to boot. Lots of condescending people on here - who I am convinced will all be proven wrong when he inevitably moves to a bigger club.
Having said that - I don't think it will be to us in January as much as I think it's a good idea. I think the £30M number being thrown around is way off the mark too - I doubt Bournmouth will let him go for that now that he's a full England international. I don't know what his contract situation is like, but they almost certainly don't need to sell him in January. And we may be banned for transfers after that - so we may well miss out on him anyway.

Well I have said I would have Wilson and Arnautovic over Morata and Giroud and I stand by that.

They are both and improvement and in particular, I don't understand why quite a few Chelsea fans are so dismissive of Wilson. He is 26, so coming into his peak. He showed great talent a few years ago,but had two serious injury setbacks. has come back from those injuries and that shows great character and determination, something Morata lacks.

Plenty of Chelsea fans were also dismissive of Salah though.

Tbh i don't think signing players just because they are better than what we currently have, it may give us temporary relief but more often than not aggravates the situation further in the long run.

Look at Klopp for example, people thought he was nuts not going after any Tom, Diiiiick or Harry that was better than his at the time GK and CB options but his patience has arguably got him the best in both positions in the league.

If it is the difference in finishing 4th or 5th I think it is worth it.
