Acting like there's a style of football that just creates goals like the one Townsend scores time and time again

The first paragraph by the OP is complete nonsense. When has a manager ever been in control or even responsible for goals like this? Sarri is not controlling these players with playstation controller ffs.

Its complete backwards thinking; its not constructive to any team to rely on players scoring through moments of brilliance.

I would rather the team be set up to score team goals, rather than relying on the occasional moments of class by the likes of Hazard.

I think people are taking that comment to literally. I'm saying that yesterday we were passing and never going anywhere and not even shooting at times!? It was so flat In the stadium like everyone was half asleep!

I'm saying we should be looking to play a style of play like spurs and pool, it's exciting to watch and with the right players it will win trophies as Liverpool will show this year!

the irony of a poster called Ronny Van Banterous to only post articles which are depressing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I bet he posted more in the second half of last season than the 18 months prior for obvious reasons, he was probably on here 24/7 during 15/16

Some fans with Ronny prime example tend to get louder the worse the team gets, it's like an opposite to the sing when you're winning fans

Not disputing there is a problem - I do think overall with the chances we had, the game would have opened up for us if our finishing was good.

But remember it took Spurs and Liverpool quite sometime to display this kind of attacking football.

Klopp managed this by being backed with signings he wanted in the transfer market. I hope Sarri makes some noises though about the players he needs too, but on evidence he seems pretty disinterested in recruitment...

I think his quotes are taken out of context, i doubt he will be happy if no suitable players are brought in but unlike Conte he won't kick off if we don't sign all his first choice targets at the cost of £1bn.

I think he will identify a profile of player and let the board decide who of that ilk comes in, like for example he says "i want a keeper good with his feet, decent shot stopper and at a good level with plenty of room to grow" the board then choose Kepa.

Just rid of Mourinho, the king of anti football, and they're just like Brazil all of a sudden!

Couldn't make it up!

I watched the highlights earlier today and thought we were ok...if we'd taken 2 of the five clear chances we had we have won that...

One clinical finish did for us...from the player we should have bought

I liked Rudiger's interview after the game, a nice honest reflection.

Potentially good article ruined by the judgmental harsh tone of it. Nothing wrong with not particularly liking the SarriBall/tiki taka hybrid style in principle, if that's what the issue is, but you can't accurately judge it watching us at the moment. You mention enjoying Pool & Spurs atm, both of which weren't playing like they do now consistently until two seasons into Klopp & Poch's tenures, you need to give this more time.

But if the problem is a strong dislike for the style in general (i.e. Sarri's Napoli was boring to you) that's a whole other thing and nothing wrong with that. If that's the case, would you have preferred Tuchel out of interest? Bit of a mix of gegenpressing with positional play, best of both worlds when it comes together.

It's a Klopp thing, once you lose the ball instead of retreating back into a shape you immediately attempt to win the ball back.
