Most players will emphasis contact, otherwise it is unseen by refs - I don’t have a problem with this most of the time. The rolling around the ground is just pathetic and what I would class as conning the ref. Even no contact is not clear cut - if you have to jump out of the way of a challenge, that effects your movement - I don’t think a lack of contact is always necessary in those circumstances.

Salah is so good he can literally defy physics. Most Liverpool fans on here saying he was pulled. You don’t fall forward if you’re pulled. Can’t have it both ways

If you're gonna talk physics then wouldn't it be the case that To fall backwards you would have to be pulled back by a greater force than you are exerting with your forward motion.

Most clubs have a player or two who dives, but Liverpool have 6 or 7 repeat offenders.

They are also regularly gifted penalties for their theatrics also, which says everything about the refereeing in this country.

To show the ref you were fouled, which they may other wise miss - it’s not hard to understand. Cheating is when you dive to the floor with no contact whatsoever and you don’t need to avoid a tackle.

Me too. I had my technique down. Key is always to initiate the contact. Loved just leaving my leg there when I went past someone in the box. The ref gives it because they hear the contact as much as see it.

A difficult technique there.

Get it wrong and there's often a I'll see you in the car park threat.

I used to play on the right and dribble into many a dead end. Shield the ball, wait for contact, over you go. Easy.

I think ultimately people have to accept there is less contact in the sport and you certainly can't use your hands in any way now. You also have to get the ball first.

Shocking.

I dived when playing Sunday league once and it was so obvious and pathetic I got up immediately and apologised
