Yeah it was a pretty good game, high intensity, City bang up for it and they deserved the win overall.

Agree re Sane. I said on the match thread I thought Sterling was having a poor game. He was better in the last 15 mins, but prior to that he couldn’t stay on his feet, couldn’t beat a man, couldn’t retain possession, couldn’t think quick enough. If he’d been in Sane’s boots there’s no way he scores that second goal, would’ve tried to dance inside and lost the ball.

Lovren is a clown. Will never forget being at our 4-1 win last season and laughing at his early dub after Kane had beasted him. The facker is full of himself so amusing to see him being culpable for a goal, Aguero done him like a kipper - he wasn’t alert at all.

Agree re Robertson, Klopp has done a good job recruiting and coaching him.

Thought B Silva and particularly Fernandinho were the best players; the comparison of the midfield 3 showed a difference in quality, scary that City didn’t even have KDB on.

Still think Liverpool will win the league. City will have three extra games getting to the CC final, they are bound to drop a few more PL points which should allow Liverpool to hang onto their lead even if they drop a few points themselves.

As for us, as I’ve already said - win the CC and get top 3 and that’s a good season.

100% agree... Berdardo is a cracking player.... exactly what we need at Spurs.... tons of energy in the middle of the park, always plays with his head up and likes to put his foot in !

Dunno who's going to win the Prem to be honest. Pool are ahead 5 pts, so odds must be with them!
Great game of footy, with a bit of luck against Pool.....
1. Kompany should have been off for a red card challenge.
2. Pool's early "goal" missed crossing the line by 1cm as later analysis showed.
3. Spurs now have a chance, if they can rise to this occasion. Somehow I don't think they will, but lets see!

Fair assessment, get to see if we have actually improved, how much this blow will set us back. Got to respond and get back on another streak. Not sure the game plan was correct but if we'd have gone for it more and been picked apart it could have been more damaging. Its a boost for City and Spurs and a blow for us.

Absolutely all to play for.

Our lead at the top can be gone in a week.

We do however, have City our the way who I expect will take points off some of the clubs around us.

Robertson was the biggest positive of the game for me. Absolutely bossed Sterling throughout, very impressive performance and I agree he's the best in his position in the league.

The problem is who else other than city can beat Liverpool? Maybe the Man Utd game away could be a draw if Liverpool are having a off day.
Chelsea and ourselves have got to go to Anfield, other than that they have no one in the top six. It would be a massive bottle job if they don’t go on and win it being 7 points clear at one point.
All we can do is keep winning games and hope for a few slip ups, and be in a position to take advantage if their is.

Just can’t see it though they’re head and shoulders above everyone, but here’s hoping.

Plenty of teams capable of beating Liverpool, they are not quite the all singing, all dancing team they would have us believe. I thought they were very poor last night.

It was an interesting match, but I doubt it will have attracted many new fans to the game.

Could see Pool drawing at Everton and United and dropping points at home to Chelsea ( who I believe have a good record at Anfield ). We might nick a draw at Anfield. I would expect Liverpool to have 1 WTF game and drop points somewhere ridiculous like Fulham.

The only game I see City dropping points in is United at old Trafford, they will realistically draw a couple more aswell. I think they will win the title by a couple of points.

Our only chance is winning a minimum of 16 of the 17 remaining, and we would have to win at both Anfield and the Etihad. It's not happening, and the Wolves result made no difference ultimately. 3rd the league cup and CL QF would represent progress this season. We cant compete for top honours without buying 1 or 2 players each year, even Juve who have won Serie A 7 years running buy a couple of players each summer.
