I'm making a fair point...but Tbf he has been a top player for his whole career.
Already said that he and Davis will be excellent signings.

We signed cannigia at 34 and he did very well.

By all accounts defoe keeps himself in better shape. Doesn't drink never mind sniff gear.

I still think its a strange approach that both rangers and Celtic are taking now.

Celtic announced a six month loan for Burke subject to a medical. Rangers announcing Defoe subject to clearance (which they will obviously get).

Are they in a race? I'd prefer it all finalised before being announced.

Good luck to Defoe. Rangers have got a cracking player there that always gives 100%. See no reason why he won’t score at least 10 goals between now and the end of the season.

Agreed duke. All standard stuff but clubs announcing a signing before it's complete seems quite new

On paper a very good signing. I’ll reserve judgement though and that’s based solely on the fact he won’t be match fit and the Barton fiasco.

He'll get goals, he just has a knack for it

Celtic and Rangers in particular are pulling out all the stops to win the title. SG has now signed 19 players during his first six months.

Celtic just simply cannot be as bad as they have been this season, our lowest points total for 20 years, we'll kick on and get the job done.
