Rumoured to be €45m for Barella and the fee for Paredes hasn't been mentioned..

Potential transfer ban for the way we signed certain young players like Bertrand Traore.

I genuinely think it would be a good thing for Chelsea, they have the best youth team around and have done for some time but never bring the players through.

If this forces their hand to use their youth talent then I think it will be a great thing for you guys.

We will only get one or the other.

Could be looking to get ahead of the pack for transfers before Hazard leaves as well.

How about signing a striker like Icardi,Fekir and a left-back to complete our transfer requirements for at least one to two seasons?

Neither are exciting signings tbh. Barella reminds me of Van Ginkel before his body turned into jelly, he's the profile of young player where fans could actually use the "why not RLC/Mount" argument - the opinions of those in the game haven't reflected in his performances yet. Paredes I just don't think is good enough personally, he's an Everton level signing, not top 6 first team PL quality.

If we bagged them both while offloading Fabregas & Drinkwater it's not terrible business but with players like Barkley, RLC & Mount who are all good enough to take up squad places (and all contribute to the homegrown quota) I'd prefer we bought one really good all round midfielder in his prime instead.

Unpopular opinion but Mount isn't what he's made out to be.. Loftus-Cheek is good but looks like he's also starting to accumulate injuries regularly.
