Hardly comparable to what they’ve done to Dortmund. They’ve lost their best players. Chelsea are losing a guy that hasn’t started a premier league match. For £35m! That is ridiculous business from Chelsea’s point of view no matter how highly rated he is.

It really baffles me - unfortunately Chelsea will never promote from within. It seems like the board doesn’t value CHO because we didn’t pay any money for him. If Messi was in our youth system he would be on loan to Vitesse.

not when pedro willian and hazard are set to leave and hes to most talented player we have had form out youth set up.

hes got the potential to be better than both those players, so just Faking play him, financially it doesn't make sense to sell him for that as comparable talent will cost upwards of 50m

see pulisic as an example

and he cant get in the team over jadon Sancho

Remains to be seen. But it’s still silly money for what is essentially a youth player just breaking into the squad. The business is bad in that you don’t want to lose a talented young player, and it sends out a bad message to the rest of the youth team, but on a player trading basis it’s a bloody good deal for Chelsea. £35m for a player that has never started a league game. That’s unprecedented.

£35 million for Cho is an absolutely awful deal for us. Some players you just know are going to be really good and you only have to look at the huge increase in transfer price that we saw with the likes of Mbappe and Dembele to Barca.

Cho will be worth significantly more than a mere £35 million within the next couple of years. I've got no doubts about that, especially in the crazy current market.

CHO has 18 months left on his contract and has no intention of signing a new one. What would you do if you were conducting our contracts/transfers? Please bear in mind the bluffs and double bluffs that go on between clubs and agents.

He’s got 18 months on his contract and has never started in the league. Comparing it to Dembele and Mbappe is a bit ridiculous as well considering what they’d actually done on the pitch. And Dortmund initially signed him for about €12m in the first place.

Transfer fees are mad at the moment, for sure, but £35m for CHO is actually proof of this, rather than a bad deal from the selling perspective. Liverpool got Salah for the same money last summer.

First sensible comment. Yes, ideally, we would sign CHO to a new long-term contract - but he has turned that down. The club's first choice is to do what all Chelsea fans want - which is to offer him a new contract. But CHO doesn't want to stay apparently. It's disappointing, but presented with those circumstances the board is doing the next best thing which is to sell him at the highest price possible - bearing in mind that he has 18 months remaining on his contract.

It's possible that we could call his bluff and refuse to sell him, and try to get him to sign a new contract within the next 18 months. That's a REALLY long time for an 18 year old - and a lot can change in that time, such as he could cement a first team place which could persuade him to sign a new contract. But that's a £35M risk. I'm not sure the club is prepared to take that risk. £35M now is better than £0 in 18 months.

Sarri was bigging up CHO in his press conference? He stays and plays.

J2 I know what you are saying but is selling a player potentially as good as Robben or Hazard be termed as good business?I would prefer to sell him at least at the end of this season after giving him ample opportunities as a regular squad player at least for the next five months. He could turn out to be eye-catching and might even become happy and sign a new contract afterwards in seven months time if he is happy with game time given to him by Chelsea!

£35m now isn’t worth throwing away the chance of convincing him to sign a long term contract over the next 18 months IMO.

You want him to stay, get him in the team. When he sees a regressing Willian constantly getting picked and a 31 year old Pedro who is inconsistent you can't blame him.

Bayern just want to sign him because they want their Sancho. He's gonna end up like Solanke.

Just tell Bayern that we won't sell them either CHO or RLC.
