Confirmed last night was the return of Cammy Smith. The number 10 was in double figures for St Mirren last season and his release has upset many of the Buddies faithful.
the feedback I was getting was he's a good Championship player but couldn't make the step up
Ghod - wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. Going on social media responses they seem pretty disappointed he's been released.
I think he's a very good signing for us though.
St Mirren seem to be getting shot of everyone
Smith
Hammil
The young boy from Southampton
Eckersley
Edwards
McShane
signed Tansey and Popescu, no excuses for Kearney now
there best performances have came against Celtic, Rangers, Hearts and Hibs
thought Tansey would've been a good signing for you guys Ivan, think they beat Dundee to his signature
Ghod
Think they're into double figures for the release.
The Cammy Smith deal was apparently done a couple of days ago but they wanted to have a signing in place before they announced it to 'soften the blow' as it were.
It's a big ask to bed in loads of new players but they've had previous success in doing that. I hope they can get them to hit the ground running and pull away from bottom spot.

We're going to need details
Just read about this rumour
It won't happen but can you imagine the carnage if they do merge.
Two teams from Dundee now United as one team.
The could call the team Dundee Football Club
They'd (I deliberately say they, rather than we) be very limited with names they could use.
Couldn't use United, nor just Dundee, and Giovanni de Stefano bought the rights to 'Dundee City' when he was involved with Dundee.
As I'm sure we all remember, the clubs did come extremely close to merger when the Marrs were in charge before Peter Marr made an 11th hour change of heart. The club would have played at Tannadice, wore tangerine home strips with blue away and been called Dundee United. Merger was a kind word to use in that instance.
Ivan - the reason we stopped playing Smith was that not long after he arrived we signed Tony Andreu and there was a condition in the loan contract that we had to play him. Really pleased he’s coming back though, like him as a player.

On the day of the 2010 cup final, when United beat County (I went to the game with my mum as she's an arab), I was out in Dundee that night after it and the bird I was seeing (I use the term loosely, so to speak) went home with Prince Buaben who had been playing in the final. She was awful. I thought he would have had higher standards. Also a current footballer stalks my sort of bird on linkedin at the moment. 300 visits a day is more than enough. Need to keep one eye on him (clue).
Also I don't really follow lower league etc.

As much as Tony scored goals for us, I still think signing him was a mistake. He was one of those players who if he wasn't scoring wasn't contributing.
I'm really pleased with Smith returning though. I think he's exactly what we need.

I immediately like your mum but I have to question her parenting skills if you ended up a Dee. Poor show.
I'm also going to assume it's Dean Shiels your referring to. 300 visits suggests a significant amount of chugging though.
