Agree. If he gets top 4 he should get a chance.
With Woodward there, who knows though
I'd still take Poch if we can get him. However Ole definitely making it interesting. Can't see Southgate or Simeone over Ole. Zidane apparently doesn't fancy it.
Top 4 should should be the job absolutely nailed on. We were 11 points behind Chelsea when he took over, if he manages that how can you deny him the job?

Because Woodward has a fetish for big names. Then again, he has probably been instructed to do so from the Glazers to boost our share price.
The players would want him to stay 100%, would be silly to replace him with a successful end to the season
Heartwise - Let Ole choose new defenders for next season and you will see how flawless of a manager he could be...
Brainwise - No need to make a sudden decision now. United board finally walked up from their nightmares and by now they know what they are doing with the time on their hand till the end of the season...He needs to show the board and fans he can consistently develop tactics to beat both small and big guns home and away. Credit to him - his record is still an impressive 100%. In few weeks we'll have played Spurs, Arsenal, PSG and Liverpool. Then we can talk managerial decisions

Well, numbnut, you certainly don't. You didn't even see OGS tactical change in the first half.

It's possible that Ed's stupid enough to not read the writing on the dressing room walls. If we pass on Ole, the next manager would have to really be up to task as far as managing the players -an unenviable task for anyone. Ole's brought in a lot of joy and this is not to be discounted.
I don't think he even needs to get top 4 to get the job. Mourinho left us in such a bad position we had to go on a title winning form to scrape top 4. His record over the season since he took over should be assessed.
We should appoint him, but on a twelve months contract. The feel good factor won't last for ever, we will have set backs. We need to see how he copes with those, how new signings are done and if they work.
It's been six games ( though how great to watch them ) and too soon to predict with confidence.
What I believe is that if it continues until the end of Feb say, he should be offered the job, as I say for a year initially, and take away the uncertainty. I really hope he makes good, he's a good chance, he has done well in Norway, is a bright guy, is one of us, and is lucky.
As Napolean said "Give me lucky generals".
At the very least, if Woodward can't bring his top two targets for the position, he should give Ole a proper chance.
I don't want a situation where for example, Poch and Alegri publicly reject us and we become desperate asking every half decent manager and his dog if they're interested, then end up with someone like a Southgate (who is decent, but no more proven than Ole himself).
the question has to be, can Ole win us the PL.
getting to the top 4 is great from where he started.
but we need to build an actual roadmap of where we want to be and want we would like to achieve.
If Ole can do that then sure, if not, then thanks for the memories and steadying the ship
