It's very reminiscent of Rooney getting that huge pay rise with us even though his stock was falling. Although only difference was Rooney was incredible for us for quite a long time before his rapid decline. Ozil never been at that level for you.
The ball is firmly in Özil’s court. He should put in the work and make it count. The fans would love him, the manager would appreciate him. And he will feel a lot better.
We need Wenger back in now.

At this point, I don't really think it's about the football.
Özil could play out of his skin and it wouldn't make a difference.
Freeing up £350k a week could open up a lot of headroom in the transfer market.

You also paid Rooney £10m to leave
Let me leave like we did with Rooney. By paying him off. No one is going to take him on on those wages.
I can't see anyone paying him close to what we pay him, based on his perfomances.
I hate to admit it but i think we should keep him and hope he sorts himself out, we have ZERO creativity in our midfield as it is and if he goes, coupled with Ramsey this summer, we're facked.
You have Mhiki. He's been great and said he enjoys playing in such a attack minded team.
Emery don't back down. If the only good thing he ever does is to get rid of Ozil it will still be worth it.
Mkhi hasn't been great, he's been a mini Flopzil.

Mkhi was a typical post 2006 Wenger signing i.e skilful but weak mentally and physically
We never had any problems with our star players under Frenchie with the free-flowing, easy on the eye, footie.
The Italian Rioch's been here for 2 minutes and suddenly Ozil is out the door, Cech is retiring and Xhaka is playing utter garbage.
Coincidence?!
Lexington, do you remember a guy called RVP? How about Patrick Vieira towards the end of his tenure?

It happens sometimes. Just look at what Liverpool paid Balotelli to leave. At least United had their moneys worth out of Rooney.

Have no idea who you are talking about tbh
Lexington, it wasn’t all rosy when Wenger was in charge. There were issues with RVP, Patrick Vieira, Alex Song, just to name a few.
Don't think that the Emery-Ozil situation is so much about finances as it is about the fact that Ozil is past his prime, and he is not a player around whom the "future Arsenal" can be built.
Plainly stated, Ozil is not a leader and they should shop him around and get rid of him.
Dress it up how your want it's just abysmal man management and conflict for absolutely no reason at the worst time it could happen. Mourinho esque
What were Arsenal thinking giving him such a huge contract. Never worth it.

At least he was facking playing and contributing to the team with assists and goals. What is the use to any of us having this situation? We need to be winning games right now with our best team available not facking about with this ish

Think the idea is to appeal to any bit of him that still wants to play football. Find another club or adhere to the wishes of the manager. Say what you want but Mourinho was right abt that today. The manager must have control over the players/selection and the club must back him.
Trouble with Ozil is I think he puts too much by his own brand marketability being enough of a draw for the club to stick by him, no matter what.
In reality, should we get him off the wage bill this summer, and bring in high profile names, such as Banega and Suarez, it could guarantee us dozens of shirt sales round the globe.
