Try telling the fans of Real Madrid that they're not one of the big boys. They won the first 5 European Cup starting 1955-56 and have won 4 of the last 5 Champions League finals.
There wasn't money back in the fifties, so if things go in "cycles" Butey, I suggest you get on yer bike.

Same fine as Klopp got for legging it right across the pitch and Klopp wasn't sent to the stands either.
Anyway I'll bet little Jeff loved Nuno's enthusiasm and will put his hand in his pocket to pay the fine.
Inevitable he would be fined and rules is rules.
But stupid to send him off in my opinion. He was hardly likely to invade the pitch again in the remaining 30 seconds

Well I remember Leeds, Blackburn, Forest, and Villa being top clubs, and falling away, but there have always been sides to replace them. The whole thing goes in cycles, and always has. Maybe last year's winners won't do it this year. I have seen it constantly change in my lifetime. The "big boys" is a phrase that doesn't apply to any specific clubs, other than monetary worth some may enjoy at any specific time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There has been nothing like a cycle for two decades and wont be again without huge financial backing.
But cycles do happen. Do you not remember Chelsea, Manchester City, even Manchester United in the 2nd division? I do. Wolves could be a future title winner, and I’m hoping it’ll be sooner rather than later. The top teams are the teams at the top.

Would love to see Wolves win the title but i suspect we will never see that happen, at least not while FFP has made it nigh on impossible to bridge the gap to the big boys.
Leicester did it, and we have Fosun behind us. Nothing to stop us being a “big boy” again.
What Leicester did has absolutely nothing to do with anything, it was an anomaly to end all anomalies, the right team in the right place at the right time in a perfect storm.
We MAY do it, but it won't in any way replicate the way Leicester did it if we do, it will be based on steady growth and would see us as a top side over several years not one like Leicester.
I think I may have put this to you before Cinci at some point but, if the big boys were all so poor in 15/16, how come only Leicester took advantage, Chelsea had a poor season but the rest of the so called top clubs were all up there. Yet none could take the initiative neither could challengers such as Southampton or West Ham.
Go on give 'em a bit of credit, it won't hurt.
Leicester deserve plenty of credit for winning the title Goldi, but the fact is they were very average prior to that season and have been very average since.
If you can show me one other league champion the last 30 odd years to have been similar and done quite literally nothing outside of that one season i shall concede Leicester really were a great side and we are presumably just seeing them have a bad run prior and since.
And were they all up there? Arsenal were the only other side to break 70 points, ending with 71.
Liverpool were 8th, Chelsea 10th, Southampton and West Ham both broke the 60 point barrier.
Nothing about that season was normal.

Typical cinci this argument. Invents the fact that people said Leicester were great and then argues against that invented fact.
Truth is Leicester were the best team that season, same as every champion before or since. Love to see Wolves win the Premier League once
I dont think even the most ardent Leicester fan really expected them to dominate the league over a long period. They took their chance and did so exceptionally well.
Its good to know that, yes an admittedly fairly average, bunch of players can come in and shake things up to the extent that Leicester did. It was a perfect storm but one which only they were able to take advantage of.
Looks like Dangerous has had a groin strain and may not be fit for match.

The only point I made initially was that the prem had declined over recent seasons but was now on the up again, Leicesters title win was one thing which highlights the decline along with European performance.
