He may come back in 18 months, probably an improved player, if he doesn’t we’d still recoup the monies we paid for him. Morata’s purchase was a calculated risk due to his young age. This why it’s important we keep hold of CHO by making him wanted at the club by assuring playing time he needs to develop and you’ll see his value goes up and up.
Shame it didn’t work out for Morata in the end, wish him all the best at AM and hope he succeeds there, that can be a very good thing for the club.
What a week for us...into yet another cup final, into the next round of the FA Cup, Morata gone and Spurs fans making a laughing stock of themselves again in the wake of their annual team meltdown
Good deal for everyone involved. We needed to move on as did he. Hope he rediscovers his form at Atletico.
oh the days utd and Chelsea fans argued who was better out of morata and lukaku and who got the better deal only 1 donkey to go

He’ll have two years left in his contract. His contract ends in 2022 and the loan is until 2020.
I am sure he’s not coming back to us, but hypothetically we could recoup the monies we paid for him. AM will pay the loan fee and as well as pay his salary at the end of the loan there is an option to buy for £50m (have to double check this)

Between them they could have been a great player
He ain't ever coming back.......................
Pleeeease .
Delighted .
He was such a poor fit for us and he's far too fragile for the PL. I'm sure he'll do better back in Spain so everyone's a winner.
Can you see him roughing up Diego ,either one, for a place in the team ?

And the grass will be warmer and drier for him to sit on!

Why do you think Atletico have turned to him in the first place? Costa's been that bad since going back..... oh how tragic *sarcasm*

Agreed. Analytically at least, his mentality would give psychologist's nightmares
OP you can talk about him later.
I loved Alvaro Morata but his game suits Italian & Spanish leagues more than English league. My good wishes and love to Alvaro Morata.
OP please show a little respect to Morata. He was not a negative character like Diego Costa who I liked despite his bad demeanour by the way.
Not his fault - he's not the right player for Conte's style or Sarri's over possession style. Strikers cannot thrive in these conditions in the Premier League. I like Sarri but we need a Dybala-like forward.
