I expect an Aberdeen win.
I'm not sure Rangers have the mentality for it while the Dons are on a good run.
I'm going up the A90 from Dundee after work so might need to go on the bypass to the house to avoid the travelling hoardes.
aberdeen are bottle merchants, if you can't beat them then u might as well chuck it.

I think (surprisingly) Rangers showed they had the mentality for the big games in the OF match and have done so in Europe on several occasions.
I think at Pittodrie at the start of the season we were excellent and it was a travesty we lost that game.
The cup semi we started with Ejaria, Flanagan, Coulibally and Sadiq - guys who even if they were all still at Ibrox wouldn't be near a starting bearth. So we have moved on a bit since then.
We deffo have it in us to win. I think the team SG selects will be key.
Will be astonished if he plays defoe and morelos.
Robbed in the first game, both teams were stinking in the semi and Aberdeen deserved the win last time.
Anything less than 3 points and we can shut up about being in a title race. The league position shows we are better than them so time to see it on the park.
I doubt he will play both together.
I blame the diamond midfield more than having 2 up for making us schite but this is not a game to change the shape.
you are playing the second best team in the country at their ground.
As 3rd best, you should be right up for this
Will be astonished if he plays defoe and morelos.

This is where I disagree with you. I think he will. I don't think he's strong enough to drop one of his 'name' players at the moment.
I think Gerrard has an arrogance that will make him 'go for it' with the additional striker which I don't think is the best idea, particularly as the shape and chemistry maybe isn't quite there yet.
(not that arrogance is a bad thing by the way - I prefer that to the overly cautious approach most of the time)

wouldnt be astonished... would be dissapointed in him if he does.
I think the defoe n morelos up front should be kept against weak opposition especially at home, teams that are just gonna defend for their lives...
Should be back to the solid 433 tonight IMO.
many pens we getting tonight then?
Yep, a big game and a very difficult one.
If it was up to me I wouldn't play the two-striker formation.
I think we'll win reasonably well, maybe 2-0.
I reckon we'll have a 442 tonight as I think SG has binned the diamond thankfully.
And yes that'll be with both Morelos and Defoe.

I would prefer two wide players if playing two up top... two holding mids (Jack/davis/coulibaly)and two wide mids (Kent/Canyman/arfield/middleton)
I hoping we revert back to the 4-3-3. Kent will be the difference tonight - id love to see him signed up at the end of the season.

This is the Rangers board, you are looking for the Aberdeen board.
not at all, aberdeen have been the second best team in the country for a number of years now.
you can't possibly deny that surely?
they have been second in the league and got to at least 3 or 4 cup finals in the past 4 seasons.
If Rangers want to stay in a title race then they must win tonight, simple as that really.
This week is potentially season defining for a few clubs.
Be a tough one but just have feeling rangers will win. Hoping for a nightly game - when odds first came out on Monday over 45 points on cards was 6/4 over 55 16/5 and over 65 was 6/1 - noticed last night over 45 is now 1/4 !!! Wtf then noticed the ref is madden who never books any can’t in these high profile games
I will say though, Aberdeen don't usually play well at home to Rangers
Hoping we edge it but it’s gonna be tight.
Much will depend on if we are doing the diamond pash. I’d like to see us go 433 as we used to always do but if he insists on shoehorning Defoe in go 442 with two sitters and two wingers.
Btw, hearts at 4/5 at home to Livingston is a licence to print money imo.
This is where I disagree with you. I think he will. I don't think he's strong enough to drop one of his 'name' players at the moment.
------------------------------------------------------
Sorry but that is just wishful thinking.
Gerrard dropped both Davis and Defoe to the bench for the game against Livvy after the formation change hadn't really worked in the Kilmarnock game.
Btw, hearts at 4/5 at home to Livingston is a licence to print money imo.
