Vincent Kompany would have been my pick for player of the season, after producing great defensive displays that mean't City had more clean sheets then any other side in the league.
As for the best player world wide then it has to go to Messi, and I don't really need to explain that.
The only sense might be Rooney's goal, but I would say Messi's second against Real Madrid away from home was better.

I honestly think that his hair transplant will help as well. It shows that he is dedicated to the image of the club and shows that he has the right attitude. Can only help. He has more than made up for that one the park. In my opinion he didn't do anything wrong in the first place. Wasn't top scorer this season cos he was injured for the first half of the season and had personal problems. Got to give him massive credit for evening turning up on the pitch after that. I couldn't do it. Could you? No wonder he wanted more money!
