My father in law celebrates his 70th birthday this week. He keeps harping on about a pint of Banks Mild going well with a crusty cheese and onion cob. I am an uncouth lager lout and so I am calling on you good people to recommend a decent black country pub where I can treat him to this culinary delight. Any suggestions please?
The Bull and Bladder in Cradley Heath
Some of the more cultured posters would be able to enlighten you Vinnie. I’m more of a Hendricks and hors d’oeuvres type myself !
Reckon 1-1 tonight. Hopefully we have our strongest eleven out there and then who knows, we are certainly good enough to win this thoughni just have a feeling we are due a blip
Think Rafa will learn from Cardiff and Huddersfield and swamp midfield and try to shut down Neves and Moutinho with some agricultural type tackling.

We should have enough now to deal with this playing Jota and Jimmy up top we’ll have power and pace to put them on the back foot
5-4 Wolves

So gem had some of it right then
Great Western near the old low level station has good cheese n onion cobs, not a Banks's pub but they will have a mild or dark ale on I'm fairly sure.
Years ago the Hatherton was good for Banks's, but Ive not been in there for about 25 years now so not sure my recommendation really carries much weight !

Holdens. 🍺
Any road up, just as important as beer and cobs is football. I reckon man for man we're better than Newcastle, but they are dangerous when it all clicks for them as Man City discovered. I reckon a 2-1 win for us, same as at their place. Will be interesting to see what this new bloke brings them. A half decent scoring record in the MLS doesnt really suggest he's going to be threatening Shearer's scoring records, but he might be buoyed enough to nick a debut goal tonight. Need Boly to Bully Rondon out of the game too, not leave him on Coady as happend too much at theres. Another early goal would be great, fi they do sit deep and pack the midfield to try and stifle us, an early strike might draw them out.
game on sky premier, sky main event, bein 2, bein 11
And on our main sports channel

Wheatsheaf still does Mild, it's just around the corner from the tram terminus - I'm just on my way there now
The Stears is on with Mike Burrows. (And Thommo too I believe.)
