Spurs have had 12 players and counting, booked for diving in 3/4 seasons under Poch, who has described diving as a 'tactic'.
Spurs need to get their house in order.🙂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure stats like that are helpful - look at the Rose booking for example.
All clubs are at it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you imagine if that stat belonged to Liverpool ?
Can you imagine if we had had 4 different players booked for diving within a couple of months ?
This forum would be jumping all over it, and the spurs board would be littered with articles criticising Liverpool because of it.🙂

I don't think it's a complete lie - I think he throws himself down at most opportunities.
But then again, lots of players do!
You're just as bad imo, making out Spurs have a bigger issue than anyone else.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that's your opinion, but the facts can only be measured in bookings received, rather than constant conjecture.
And the facts state, that as far as simulation is concerned, Spurs are the worst offenders.
jlou1978 (U15376)
Well, that's completely hypothetical.
But at the moment, you're doing exactly what you are complaining would happen if the roles were reversed.
One other key point - you're top. Well, if you win your game in hand. It comes with the territory that you'll get more grief than the team in third. Happened to United for many years.
"but the facts can only be measured in bookings received"
That would be a ridiculous way of discussing the problem given the huge amount of cheating that goes on across the league and that goes unpunished.
I think he throws himself down at most opportunities.
======================
Well let's look at that line.
You believe, that in most circumstances, given the opportunity, Mo Salah throws himself to the ground.🤣
I mean seriously, where does that nonsense originate ?
jlou1978 (U15376)
Why do you call it nonsense?
I think that given an opportunity to go down in the box, he takes it - any contact at all, unless he's got a good shooting position, he'll collapse. I base that on watching him.
I think the same about a lot of players.
You're presumably taking exception because it's a Liverpool player. Would you feel so strongly that it's 'nonsense' if I said the same thing about Herrera, Young or Ronaldo?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm taking exception, because it patently isn't true.
Liverpool are the biggest culprits where diving is concerned, they must have gained at least half a dozen points from wrong decisions going in their favour. Salah is a serial cheat, no to questions about that, a feather could knock him down.
Spurs have been cheated out of several pens this season, hopefully with VAR next season, they will benefit big time.
And wether you think the same of other players is irrelevant also.
I agree that Salah, as most players do, goes down when the opportunity presents itself. I only remember him doing it once when he wasn't fouled however and he didn't get a penalty for it. He was lucky to get away with getting booked for it also.
jlou1978 (U15376)
I think it is true.

Yes, that's because you are biased. You regard a touch on his shoulder as a foul yet claim Son dived this weekend.

This clearly isn't true hence why Spurs players keep diving and keep getting booked for it, the most in the league, since Poch came in. It's clearly a tactic of his.

Depends what the touch is, if it's pulling a player back from behind as he's running towards goal, it's a foul.
That's not bias, in fact it's bias to suggest it's not a foul when it clearly is.
I asked earlier, obviously wasn't going to get an answer, so maybe as someone who seems to believe Salah will on most occasions look to hit the deck in the area, maybe you could help the previous poster out, and give us the list of the many 'for fun' penalties Salah has been awarded for diving.
Well I help you out, because you can't, because it's total b0ll0x.😀

You're doing it again now. Setting your own criteria and then applying it. Laughable.

I didn't say he's got lots of penalties for it.
Shame you can't discuss this maturely simply because it's a Liverpool player.
It's not nonsense. You may disagree, but that doesn't make it nonsense.
So many people are incapable of seeing anything negative about their own side. It's cringeworthy.

So he mostly, given the chance, goes down in the box ?
Yet you also don't think he gets lots of penalties, for going down when he gets into the box ?
Yeah, your not making any sense now Winston.🤣
So he doesn't get lots of penalties, for fun, for diving, as was suggested by someone earlier in this thread.

You really need to read the laws of the game.
You ran around saying 'impeded' when the laws of the game typically classify impeding as involving no contact.
You then started saying he was pulled, yet where does that actually appear in the laws?
You don't even understand the laws, so excuse me while I continue to mock any clarification you provide of why an incident is a foul / not a foul.
