The bitterness and delusion is amazing. Gerrard played in some good teams too. If he was that amazing you'd have won the title with him. But you didn't.

Paul Scholes won 11 and was influential in them all. The greatest passer of the ball I have ever seen in the red of United. Bar none. He was a magician.

There's a picture up of Scholes at La masia (Barca's training ground. Seen it on a documentary about their club. There's not one of Lampard or Gerrard by the way. Says it all for me.

Liverpool fans look at goals scored and immediately think Gerrard was better. If that logic was used he'd be better than Xavi, Iniesta n Zidane too. He wasn't as good as any of them, nor was he Scholes.

Gerrard is managing a team that has played in a European competition this season.

The closest Oldham will get to Europe is playing away to Newport County.

The closest Derby will get to playing in Europe is playing away to Swansea

Gerrard > Lampard > Scholes

I don't care who they are managing tbh. Rangers, Derby n Oldham all mean the same to me. Absolutely nothing.

Gerrard definitely being consistent up there though. In that he's not going to win that league either.

Dunno why Eric is getting so wound up.. ran out of crayons to rewrite history probably.

Alonso > Scholes and Alonso wasn't even our best midfielder.

Paul Scholes 11 > Steven Gerrard, Alonso, Torres, Suarez 0

29 years boys. tick tock. City going to make it 30 and the whole country will rejoice.

He never was to begin with. Only in your delusional world.

What a credit he was to you though. Stuck with you when he could have joined a big club and won the league.

yep, like i said, Alonso wasn't our best midfielder and he was better than Scholes

Reason scholes didn't even try to leave man u was because he had it too easy with everyone else doing the running and tackling and blocking.

Teemu Pukki has 20 goals in the Championship.

When it got tricky with England, Scholes had to play out of position, he gave up.

He let Michael Carrick displace him at Utd. No bottle to compete with a player better than him.

All those debates that were had on who was best midfielder, Gerrard or Lampard, how many times was Scholes mentioned? Never.

Lads this is a bit pathetic. Obsessing over an ex-utd player to the extent of comparing his managerial career in league two to Gerrard spending a fortune in Scotland.

Doesn't do much against the inferiority complex argument the mancs accuse us of having. Even just as a WUM.

This is a serious debate. Gerrard hasn’t spent a fortune. He’s in a competitive top flight league and his spending is pennies compared to the other top flight leagues

Has the list of fake quotes about Scholes by other midfielders been posted yet? That normally gets whipped out in these threads atleast once.

Eric is classic WUM bait. Falls for it every time.

But on this argument it's ironic that Scholes and Gerrard are exactly the type of player the opposing club needs right now.

Scholes playing balls through for our front 3 and providing some compusure in our midfield (weakest part of the team).

Utd could do with a leader like Gerrard instead of fancy dan Pogba.
