Emery is only six months in. Judge him at the end of the season, and remember he only had a £60m transfer kit.
Nothing, it was a joke but you'd need to be an oldie like me to get it

Yeah but if you don't have wingers, don't have creativity, adapt, you have 2 very creative players, change formation. He pushes his philoshophy of playing from the flanks but doesn0t have players for that style of play, so adapt.
Emery is doing ok under the circumstance so no need to panic but Arsenal fans are already on weed due to disaster under Wenger so anymore anxiety is going to break them even more.
The style of play is horrible, and nothing in his career suggests that it is going to get any better. I’m resigned to him staying for at least another season, but after that the apparent clause in his contract needs to be activated.
The squad isn’t great, but it is better than what we’re seeing on the pitch, and it is more than good enough to beat a team like BATE Borisov, who before today hadn’t played since the 13th of December.

I understand any manager needs time. But if anyone at the club had done any kind of due diligence, they'd know what we were getting. Nothing coming from his time in Spain can suggest he can turn this around.
His appointment was a last minute panic from Gazidis because he didn't have the balls to appoint Arteta. I can fully understand that, but then don't rush and appoint the first manager available.
Regardless how bad the squad is, we should have had enough to beat them. But the performances have been getting worse since the end of the unbeaten run.

Disaster under Wenger? Everyone here would kill to be finishing top four every season again this is a new depth. We had it good and didn't realise without significant investment that was the best it was gonna get. Yet you all moaned.

A new depth of what? More points than at the same position last season (where we didn't get top four) ?
Don't disagree we've been really disappointing the past couple of months but it's no worse than last season.

I would argue that the performances weren’t particularly great during the unbeaten run either. Tottenham at home was a good performance, as was Liverpool at home. The 20 minute spell against Leicester at home is the only other time we have played genuinely well this season.

This just not true, though. Pretty clear he was always one of our main targets. Just because he's been fairly average doesn't change that.

The only reason we were winning this game is that we were very creative from Wengers days and Emery instilled disciplined. The Ramsey goal for example stunk of wenger goals from bygone seasons. That football is well and truly dead now and we have this trash wing back attack football
How can you have a front free of Laca, Aubabmeyang and Ozil assisting them and be doing this badly. As good a front three as any team if we had the right person leading
I did say to Arsenal fans all Emery has done is make Arsenal go from one of the most creative teams in PL to one of the worst.
Emery has got more points out of this Arsenal team so far than Wenger did last season.
Spurtle, why are you giving nuggets of positivity on different Arsenal threads? You're a Spurs fan, you should be twisting the knife in!

last season was an abysmal sackable season why is that the barometer
LOL HOLD UP! HOLD ON!
Before you scapegoat....
The laughs was for attention purpose...honestly, Wenger last few years have been dread-full both defensively and creativity wise. Lets give this man a transfer budget and a season...and judge then...He is woking on dirt and bones left from Wenger give him a break.
I'm not sure we are playing Emery style yet or if he's just getting by with what we have, e.g. playing 3 at the back to cover for Kolasinac who is our main creative threat without Ozil. We can argue if Ozil plays or not but personally I'm happy we're freezing him out. The squad is badly balanced and has a lot of players he doesn't want so he gets a free pass this season. If we're this chit next season then he won't get a 3rd.
