I think we will win today.
Have got to agree JP, they seem to have their mojo back, and we have lost ours, and I still don't like our midfield set up,without mentioning our defense lately !.
Plus they are due a good result against us !
I think you'll win. Would be typical Chelsea to turn up for a cup game and turn up after such a hiding.
If you don't win it will be close.
When do we ever win at SB????
Feel a bit more confident that Martial and Lingard are out, their pace on the counter would have been a problem.
But Rashford and Pogba are in great form and will definitely cause us problems.
Worry for Jorginho, feel he will get exposed on the counter and Pogba will run rings round him.
Their defence isn't great and hopefully Romero is in goal and not DDG so if Hazard and Higuain can find each other we've got a chance.
I fancy us to win by 2 goals. Obviously we need to play well on the night, but if we do I can't see why we won't win. Very little between the two teams, the main difference is United are in better form atm.
The only reason I think Chelsea might not win is because of the manager.
Otherwise I'd have Chelsea nailed on to win.

An interesting idea, he hasn't scored even 1 goal the entire season...
We've won just 2 in our last 22 visits to your ground. Seem to have the Indian sign over us. I can't see that changing tonight with Martial n Jesse out. Routine home win I reckon.
However if we can beat Liverpool on Sunday I'd soon get over tonight tbh.
I have a weird feeling that we will win tonight but I don't see us putting a convincing performance.
But that's my heart saying that.
My head says;
1. The problems are still there.
2. We've been poor for months and only in recent weeks has it got even worse
3. Why all of a sudden will the problems just magically fix themselves and we start playing better? Not happening.
4. Sarri will play joringho every game until he is sacked.
5. Sarri has NO IDEA how to fix this and what's worse is he won't even change his style of play and mix it up a bit. Something that Conte did but Scolari and AVB didn't and we know how that ended.
6. United have lost 1 in like what 11? We've been garbage... there's no way we'll win this. I just hope it's not embarrassing.
If we stick to form and play the insipid incoherent football...we're going to get thumped.
Performance has to be a damn sight better than witnessed against Malmo.
CMF im not sure a 2 1 win against malmo instills me with much confidence
Ill think we will get smashed again tonight
I'm slightly worried. When you factor the team we played on Thursday it's very likely Alonso will start (if Rashford's on that flank we're already f*****), we'll have the Jorginho-Kante-Kovacic midfield, and Willian will start as he got the earlier substitution. That's not a team I'd have confidence in for this particular match, it's begging to get shredded on the counter.
My best guess says it'll be similar to the Bournemouth match. United will rain it in just enough allowing us to dominate possession knowing our midfield can't penetrate them, and if we defend like with did against Bournemouth it'll be embarrassing. If they stick Pogba on Jorginho you know that's the gameplan, he'll lose him defensively but on the counter he'll make mince meat of him.
If Sarri was ever going to tweak the system slightly into a 4-2-3-1 this would be the game, sticking Kante on Pogba to nullify that threat with CHO/Hazard (as no.10 dropping deep)/Willian making up the AM trident to take advantage of United's weak defense.
I'm going into this with no particular idea how it'll turn out to be honest...they got schooled last week and lost their composure, & we played ok v a pub side.
All depends on what side Sarri puts out....we either compete, or roll over
Basically...
No Alonso or Kova or Jorg in the side...we have a shot
so I guess we roll over
