We have had nearly a week between PSG and Chelsea, and then its nearly a week between Chelsea and Liverpool. I don't think we need to make too many changes and agree with the personnel in the OP.
Can make a case for swapping Rashford and Lukaku.
Looks like your best formation with the injuries you have.
Wonder if we will actually go with a diamond formation tonight.
Tactically, having a man in between the Chelsea defence and midfield to stifle Jorginho might be the way to go.
He (and Chelsea as a result) has struggled when that has happened recently.
We've lost quite a bit of pace from wide areas with Lingard and Martial, so going with a narrow diamond with Lukaku and Rashford operating in the channels.
Would shuffle that front 3 around a bit. Lukaku on the right, Rashford left and Sanchez centre. Also smalling in for bailly maybe
Has to put his money where his mouth is and play Chong for more than a 10mins cameo. Specially if we are dire in attack like the second half against PSG. Bring on Chong for at least 30mins
........................De Gea
....Dalot......Smalling....Lindelof......Shaw
...................Fred.......Matic
.........................Pogba
.......Lukaku.........Sanchez.........Rashford
Maintain pace down the wings with Lukaku and Rashford, Sanchez has the work rate to play in Lingards role and he also has the ability to join the counter through the centre.
Lukaku down the middle and Sanchez out wide have proved to be utter poo, but both of them have had good games in the positions I have put them in.
Fred will probably replace Pogba against PSG so he needs a game because he won’t play against Liverpool. If we need to claw back two goals against PSG, Dalot should also be given a game ahead of Young for the same reason as Fred.
Smalling over Bailly because Chelsea seem to be quite dangerous against us with set pieces, with Lindelof distributing.
Interesting so many are putting DDG in goal. Why would he start Romero away at Arsenal but not at Chelsea? That makes no sense. I think Romero will play personally, whether we agree with that or not.
He's basically got no other game time opportunity otherwise. We went out of the League Cup early and we're going out of the CL now, not that he would feature anyway if we weren't.
I think the front 3 picks itself but I can see them all rotating positions during the game as none of them really stay in one true position.
Prediction: Chelsea will find a way. They always bleeding do against us at their place.
However If you offered me a win at home on Sunday if it meant we go out tonight I'd take it.
Smalling needs a game.
------------------------------Romero---------------------------------
Young----------Smalling----------------Lindelof------------Shaw

I don't see Chong starting but I imagine he might get 25/30 mins.
Sanchez, Rashford n Lukaku will surely be the front 3 given the injuries.
............ ....DDG................
Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
..............Herrera................
......Fred ..........Pogba.....

I doubt I will even be close.
We could see a diamond like formation with Sanchez performing at the top of it (as like a false 9) with Lukaku and Rashford in the wide areas up top.

I really think that this is the way to go. I'd have Pogba in there. If Ole goes about it the right way he should be able to get Pogba fired up for this. If he tells him he needs him to do a job for the team with the injuries we have got I think (hope) that Pogba could really disrupt Chelsea's game.

As an aside, how depressing is it that our highest paid player and our second most expensive signing are seen as greatly weakening the team when they come into it?
With Jesse and Toni out, Ole won't throw all of his attacking options out there. Mata to start and Marcus as a reserve (unfortunately).

I put Sanchez in the hole in my team with Pogba in his usual left CM position. Sanchez would have better nuisance value v Jorginho.
Pogba would be in direct opposition to Kante in his normal position,so maybe it could be good to have him free of Kante's attention. Whether it's the best use of Pogba is another matter.

Either or mate - we just have to do our best to stop Jorginho playing as a priority. To be fair, Sanchez would work his backside of trying to be a pest.
I think it’ll be similar to the arsenal set up but with Pogba pushed to the head of the diamond

Can’t see anything but a Utd win tonight. Plus your travelling mob are usually pretty loud with the whole shed! Will be a good atmosphere at least and hope we get a reaction from our team after being woeful of late.

Can't see past you men tbh. You always raise your game for us.
Fred is probably the best to be in there and herras Jorginho. Just sick jhim in a free role and tell him to not let Jorginho breath. Fred is also quick to help with the counter.

Nailed on to be a midfield diamond with two wide forwards - probably Rashford and Sanchez - same as Spurs and Arsenal.
The only other question for me is whether he plays Pogba on the left side of midfield (where I'd like to see him) with Mata in behind the forwards, or whether he pushes Pogba on and brings in another orthodox CM.
If he does that we're outnumbering Chelsea in midfield all day with Pogba still sat on Jorginho, but it'll isolate the strikers. I'd like to see a more positive approach.
