People have talked about Ole's big test. Well this is it. He needs to get fringe players stepping up big time now. Scotty and Andreas did well today though. Really showed some maturity.

Fred I don't think is even a viable option. If he's still a Utd player next season I'd be shocked. Ole doesn't fancy him at all it seems.

I think Pogba could do with a rest ..don’t want to burn him out .

He's suspended for PSG game. He can get one then. We simply can't afford to rest him in league. Too many injuries.

Romero
Pereira
Bailly
Gomes
Young
Jones
Garner

That could be the 7 subs, not much more I can think of if all those players are out, rojo possibly but we don't need that many defenders on bench

I really wonder how bad Fred must be in training not to get game time ahead of Periera, who himself looks a little out of his depth.

You'd have thought he'd get more of an opportunity in a high energy team under Ole but he's played even less.

Pereira and McTominay played well today. Happy to go with those two plus Pogba.

There's little choice other than including fred now tbh, he'll likely have to play in Paris

Diamond in midfield mct, fred, pogba and Pereira... Lukaku and sanchez up top

Or go 5 at the back with Dalot and young at wing back and rest shaw?

Personally I reckon Lindelof could do a job at DM... Good enough on the ball

I still haven’t written Fred off completely, every chance Ole wants to introduce him at the right time in hopes of getting the best out of him. Time is running out though.

They were both superb in the circumstances. Very mature performances.

Pereira played on the right of midfield for Valencia and it seemed to be the best I’ve ever seen him play. Maybe go with this ...

DDG
Young Lindelof Smalling Shaw
Pereira Fred McT Pogba
Lukaku Sanchez

Something that's not often mentioned is pereira contract.. are we even in talks to give him a new deal?

Not a chance Rashford will be ready for Saturday imo. The lad was struggling the whole 2nd half and heard there is slight swelling now to his ankle. That will be 2 weeks minimum for him imo
Lingard is now going to need 2-3 weeks
Mata and Herrera not a clue
Martial could be back for Southampton but that is pushing it
Matic out for a month

Only plus side is we are going to see what some of the others are made of and whether they have a future at United. And maybe Mason Greenwood and Chong may get a chance

Anyone know if greenwood is fit yet? Would love to see them given a chance, Sanchez & Lukaku.. alexis works hard but isn't good enough and Lukaku hurts my eyes

Same as Robb's but a diamond midfield, McTominay at the base, Perreira and Pogba in the middle and Fred at the tip.

We don't have much options. Chong, Gomes, can be on the bench but Mason is out injured.

It's time for the players to step up now. Lukaku can't have any excuses. Perreira and Fred should get a run. Fred many not be up to it physically so being on the tip might help him a bit more than the roles he has occupied before.

Sanchez is Sanchez. He needs to reinvent himself as he is no longer what he was. He still has something and you can see flashes off it. The one thing he gives is 100% though.

For Wednesday I'd go with;

-------------------- DDG -------------------

Young ----- Smalling --- Lindelof --- Shaw

----------------- McTominay -------------

----------- Pereira -------- Pogba ----------

???? ----------- Lukaku ----------- Sanchez

The ??? would ideally be Sanchez with Martial on the left if Martial is okay by then, he only just missed out on yesterdays game according to Ole before the match, he's been training just like Lingard, so without the setback Jesse suffered he'll now have an extra 2 days training.

If not then obviously Mata/Rashford if either are fit, it not then I'd go with Chong and see how he does. Possibly even 3 at the back with Young further up or Dalot.
